First class of Adaptive + Experiential Ashtanga โจ
So grateful to begin this journey with these beautiful people.
Adaptive Ashtanga preserves the structure and discipline of the traditional method while making it accessible to every body. We thoughtfully adjust pacing, modify postures, and use support to respect individual anatomy and capacity.
Experiential Ashtanga shifts the focus from doing or executing poses to sensing them. Through breath, attention, and mindful repetition, we cultivate interoceptive and proprioceptive awarenessโtraining the nervous system to adjust, regulate, and respond under challenge.
In this class, props are not a shortcut. They are intelligent tools. We use bricks, blankets, straps, chairs, and the wall to build strength, mobility, and resilience safely and progressively.
This is not about achieving the pose.
Itโs about cultivating adaptive capacityโon the mat and in everyday life.
