The Crime Victims' Center of Chester County, Inc.

The Crime Victims' Center of Chester County, Inc. We provide free, confidential, and immediate support to people that have been affected by crime and violence in the Chester County community.

Our agency began in 1973, and since then we have helped thousands of victims in Chester County with immediate and continued help. The Crime Victims’ Center of Chester County, Inc. (CVC) is a private, community-based, non-profit 501(c)(3) comprehensive victim services agency. CVC is the designated provider of services to sexual violence victims for Chester County, however we serve victims of all types of crime including sexual abuse, domestic violence, homicide, identity theft, and more. CVC is committed to helping victims understand their rights and advocating, when necessary, to ensure that these rights are met. Our agency does not require you to report your victimization to Law Enforcement, however if you decide reporting is the best option for you, CVC will support you every step of the way. Family members, loved ones and witnesses are also eligible for our services.

What a great night to see the West Chester Christmas Parade. An outstanding job by Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce! Not only do we have the best staff around, we also have one of the best seats in town! Our staff and their families enjoyed the parade from our porch. We even heard Santa say that we were good this year! 🎅

Happy Holidays from the team here at CVC! If any harder feelings pop up today -- like stress, overwhelm, or grief -- feel free to use this grounding exercise to help you stay in the present moment. It's also easy to teach to kids who may be feeling these big feelings as well!

Steps:
- Extend one hand in front of you, palm up, like a turkey!
- Use your other hand to trace up and down along your fingers, starting at your thumb (the turkey's head) and moving through each "feather."
- As you trace up a finger, take a deep breath in.
- As you trace down a finger, slowly exhale.
- Repeat for all five fingers and enjoy the calm it brings.
