Dear Families,

After 22 years with Advocare Broomall Pediatrics I am announcing my retirement at the end of July 2024. I have come to know many of you and your families and will miss the relationships we have developed. It has truly been a privilege to care for your children throughout the years. Watching them grow and thrive has been the most rewarding part of my career.

I would like to thank Dr. LaVoe, Dr. Ng and all my colleagues at Advocare Broomall Pediatrics for their guidance and support throughout the years. It has been an honor to work with such a dedicated and caring group of physicians, nurses and staff.

Please do not hesitate to call if you have concerns. I have enjoyed being your pediatric nurse practitioner and wish you and your families the very best of health and good fortune for the future.

Great news! We are now partnering with a Psychiatrist to offer Group Therapy sessions at our Broomall location by Dr. Mohamed Dattu, MD.

The first sessions will be for teenage boys ages 14-18 Saturday April 15th and Saturday April 22nd.

Does your teenage son struggle with turning off the gaming console when asked? Is school becoming neglected? How about refusing to spend time with family or friends? Gaming addiction is a very real problem and is the new, unrecognized pandemic taking over millions of teens around the world. Poor mental health outcomes, poor self esteem, lack of physical activity, lack of in person socialization and even poor nutrition are only some of the consequences when gaming takes over a teens life. This group session will talk about gaming addiction, it's consequences and how to make gaming fun again and not an unhealthy obsession.

Two sessions on back to back Saturdays will be offered on April 15th and April 22nd. Each session is 75 mins and limited to between 6 and 8 participants. Bring your notebooks and pen! The fee is $100 per session ($200 total for both days) payable at the time of the meeting. Checks, cash, Venmo, credit card and PayPal are fine but the last two have added $10 charge transaction fee.
