We were honored to welcome Chrissy Houlahan to Family Service of Chester County.

Congresswoman Houlahan has been a consistent champion for mental health care, access to healthcare, and lowering the cost of living—issues that directly impact the individuals and families we serve every day.

At FSCC, we see what’s at stake. When families can’t access affordable care, small challenges quickly become crises. Without support, mental health needs go untreated, housing becomes unstable, and children and parents face barriers that are hard to overcome alone.

Our work exists to step in before that happens—to provide counseling, strengthen families, and ensure people have access to the resources they need to stay stable and move forward.

If organizations like ours didn’t exist, too many in our community would fall through the cracks.

We’re grateful for leaders like Congresswoman Houlahan who understand that investing in mental health and human services isn’t optional—it’s essential to a stronger, healthier community.

Being a mom is one of the most selfless, rewarding and best things a woman can experience, however, that does not mean it doesn't come with challenges, stress or burnout. With the right support you can feel more grounded, prioritized and less overwhelmed with the mental load that comes with motherhood. A trauma-informed counseling center from Family Services of Chester County opened April 10 in Coatesville with strong community support.

This space represents more than just a building—it’s a commitment to showing up for individuals, families, and youth who need support.

Every year, the Kappa Delta WCU hosts an incredible fundraiser supporting both Prevent Child Abuse America and Family Service of Chester County. It’s something I’m really proud to be part of—especially knowing that 80% of proceeds directly support local families right here in our community.

🦋 The Monarch Butterflies – Las Mariposas Monarcas 🦋

We’re proud to introduce The Monarch Butterflies, a Girls Club coordinated by the PA-3 Team, in partnership with Family Service of Chester County — a new initiative designed for our HS and EY girls who need a safe, supportive space to share their stories, journeys, and voices.

This empowering group focuses on meaningful conversations, personal growth, and topics that matter most to them, helping young women build confidence, strengthen life skills, and move boldly toward their aspirations and dreams.

Together, we rise, transform, and thrive — just like monarch butterflies. 💫
