The Foxwynd Foundation Awards $25,000 Grant to Launch Trauma-Informed Counseling Center in Coatesville
West Chester, PA — Family Service of Chester County is proud to announce that it has received a $25,000 grant from the Foxwynd Foundation to help establish a new trauma-informed counseling center in Coatesville. This initiative will expand access to mental health resources and provide a welcoming space for individuals and families seeking support and healing.
The Foxwynd Foundation DAF funded the Foxwynd Foundation’s generous donation to Family Service of Chester County, enabling the organization to bring vital counseling resources directly into the Coatesville community. The new center will offer trauma-informed, culturally responsive counseling tailored to local needs, with services available both in-person and via telehealth to ensure care is accessible to all.
“With the Foxwynd Foundation’s support, we are bringing vital counseling resources directly into the Coatesville community,” said Mark Butler, Executive Director of Family Service of Chester County. “This grant allows us to create a safe and supportive space where individuals and families can heal, grow, and strengthen their overall well-being. We are deeply grateful for Foxwynd’s partnership and their belief in this vision.”
“At Foxwynd Foundation, we believe that healing begins when communities have access to compassionate care close to home. Supporting this new center in Coatesville reflects our commitment to helping individuals rebuild their lives with dignity, hope, and resilience,” said Bobby Gilchrist, Trustee, Foxwynd Foundation.
The $25,000 award will be used to launch and equip the Coatesville Trauma-Informed Counseling Center, expand clinical capacity, and enhance staff training in trauma-informed care. To maximize the impact of this investment, Family Service will also launch a dollar-for-dollar matching campaign to engage community members, local businesses, and donors in sustaining this effort.
