What does it take to clean a coffee silo you can't even reach?

This wasnโt your average pressure-wash-and-go project.
Clean Metro was brought into the Keurig site in Moore, SC, mid-construction, in a high-stakes, right-on-the-clock situation.
The mission? Clean a 90-foot green coffee bean silo, stairs, and the support structureโฆ after they were already installed inside the facility.
No time to clean it before installation. Now it was tucked inside, surrounded by six levels of process piping and tight mezzanine space.
Add in GMP compliance, confined access, and zero room for shortcuts, and youโve got a real challenge.
So howโd we solve it?
We worked closely with Gray Constructionโs team and went in on a cost-plus model (not typical, but thatโs what trust does).
We installed mobile fall protection systems using 3M gear rated at 10,000 lbs, within 30 minutes, fully secure, and fully mobile.
We equipped our team with KASK helmets with chin straps (so secure, Gray later made them mandatory across subs).
We avoided ladders where unsafe. Instead, our team navigated beams with full protection, no compromise.
From that silo, we moved into the roasting room, cleaning around Italian roasters, platforms, and more tight mezzanine setups.
Shoutout to United Rentals, who had our back for extended lift needs and support.
What mattered most?
We coordinated with the GC, ownerโs rep, and Keurig site managers, every single step, to ensure we met the standards for GMP-level readiness.
Real work. Real risk. Zero shortcuts.
Big thanks to the folks we worked closely with on-site:

Need cleaning that goes beyond ladders and lifts? Letโs talk.
