The Columbia VA Regional Office invite you to a personalized claims clinic from March 19th to 21st, empowering you to take control of your benefits and access the resources you need.

This event will help you stay on top of your existing claims, ensure your records are up-to-date, and discover new benefits.

South Carolina National Guard Armory, 1328 Old Dairy Rd., Columbia, SC 29201, during the following hours:

March 19th-20th, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
March 21st, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Attention Comrades!

It has been reported that Veterans, enrolled in VA or not, are receiving letters stating that they have a scheduled VA appointment. The letter is requesting that the Veteran pay for the appointment up front.

Note: Please remind Veterans that VA does not require payment in advance for VA or Community Care appointments and encourage Veterans to verify any suspicious appointment communications directly with their local VA medical facility.

Happy Monday Comrades! Please see the awesome acknowledgement below from Yolaunda Mincey, Chief of the Center for Development and Civic Engagement at the Columbia VA Health Care System about our very own Comrade Jerry Brown and how he is living our mission of Veterans servicing Veterans!

Good afternoon,

I just want to share this with you to show the difference one volunteer can make. We have a new volunteer from the DAV 92nd Buffalo Chapter 20- Jerry Brown. He retired from the Post Office after 31 years, and is now sharing his passion for organization and volunteering with fellow Veterans.

He has totally revamped our food pantry and the overflow pantry to make it easier for SWS to assist the Veterans needing emergency food boxes. He comes in three times a week and checks for anything expired, rotates stock, and cross references both storerooms to ensure the Angel Pantry has the best of everything.

I told him that we are looking just as good as Walmart!

Also, during our latest monthly meeting, the 92nd Buffalo Unit 20 Auxiliary Commander, Sharon Johnson, presented a remarkable donation to our Veterans and their families, exemplifying kindness and generosity. The assortment of fresh produce, canned goods, and essential items brought nourishment and delight to all attendees, due to her considerate donations.

Commander Johnson's steadfast commitment enhances the lives of our Veterans and profoundly impacts the families and community supporting them. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Commander Johnson for her enthusiastic and devoted service. Thank you for your persistent dedication and continous goal of exemplifying our core goal of veterans serving veterans!
