Your heart doesn't care if you call it 'exercise' it just wants you to move. ❤

The key to better heart health can be as simple as changing a few habits at work.

👟 Take the stairs. This gets your heart rate up faster than any other office activity.
🚗 Park at the far end of the lot. The extra 200 steps a day add up over a month.
👋 Walk, don't type. Have a question for a colleague? Walk over to their desk instead of emailing. It's good for your heart and connection.

Did you know your heart needs sleep, too?

The science is so strong that the American Heart Association now lists sleep as a heart-health essential—right alongside eating well, staying active, not smoking, and maintaining a healthy weight.

Getting fewer than 7 hours of sleep on a regular basis can increase inflammation in the body, raising your risk for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, heart attack, and stroke.

Bottom line: prioritizing sleep isn’t a luxury—it’s heart care. Tonight, give your heart the rest it deserves. ❤️

Everyone is excited about the likelihood of snow this weekend, but the bitter temperatures can cause problems. Follow these tips to avoid hypothermia:

1️⃣ Dress in layers to trap warmth.
2️⃣ Stay dry. Go for wool or synthetic fabrics instead of cotton, which says damp.
3️⃣ Wear a warm hat – 30% of heat loss is through the head.
4️⃣ Protect your extremities. Wear waterproof boots and mittens.
5️⃣ Take breaks to go inside and warm up.
7️⃣ Know your limits. Pay attention to shivering, confusion, or drowsiness and get to warmth immediately.
8️⃣ The elderly, babies, and anyone with poor circulation should avoid the cold temperatures.

Stay safe and have fun!
