Fun Fact: Granite isn’t just a beautiful stone—it’s one of the toughest and oldest materials on Earth.

Formed deep underground from slowly cooling magma, granite takes millions of years to develop its unique crystal patterns, making every piece truly one of a kind. Its incredible durability and resistance to weathering are why granite has been trusted for monuments and memorials for generations, with many standing strong for centuries. When chosen for a headstone, granite becomes a lasting tribute—one that honors a life and preserves memories for years to come.

Did you know Monday!
Did you know...
The direction a headstone faces can hold religious or cultural meaning.

In many Christian traditions, graves are positioned facing east, symbolising the rising sun and beliefs around resurrection and new beginnings. In Islam, burial is traditionally aligned so the deceased faces Mecca. Other cultures may choose a direction based on local customs, family tradition, or spiritual beliefs.

Today, some families continue these traditions, while others choose a direction simply based on the layout of the cemetery or personal preference. Every choice is a reflection of what feels most meaningful to those remembering their loved one.

The memorial is thoughtfully designed with an etched floral and vine border at the top corners, featuring delicate five-petaled flowers and subtle lattice detailing.

We sincerely thank the family for allowing us the privilege of helping honor and remember their loved one.

We were honored to create and install a memorial for Luke A. Blanchard (February 5, 2002 – March 24, 2025), remembered as a “Loving Husband and Dada.” Luke is cherished for the love, joy, and warmth he brought to his family and all who knew him.

His memorial is crafted from polished black granite in a wave design and features two color oval portraits of Luke and Luke with his child, an etched scene of a disc golf basket in a field, a flying duck emblem, and a matching black vase etched with a buck—elements that reflect his passions and the life he loved. The inscription includes his name, life dates, and the title “Loving Husband and Dada.”

We sincerely thank the Blanchard family for allowing us the privilege of helping honor and remember Luke’s life and legacy.
