Wellness District's story began when Medical Weight Loss Specialists opened its doors in September of 2011. Spencer Berry, MD, worked as a Family Physician for 25 years prior to opening the clinic. He started this journey because so many of his patients struggled with their body weight which caused a multitude of related health problems for them. He knew that if he could spend the time he needed discussing weight and educating patients on the science of overweight and obesity that he could make a difference. In his first 3 months practicing Obesity Medicine, Dr. Berry discontinued more medications than he had done in 25 years of Family Medicine. Focused on improving patients' health both physically and emotionally, exceptional service and patient care brought outstanding patient feedback. As patients lost weight, they were becoming happier and healthier. With our team's dedication to its patients, DermPhilosophy was cultivated to expand healthy living. DermPhilosophy opened in May of 2016. As the clinics grew and the patient base expanded rapidly at both clinics, the decision was made to combine the two clinics and the Wellness District opened in a new location December of 2019! The staff at the Wellness District has now helped over 5,000 patients become happier and healthier. Our passion and dedication to our patients is what sets our clinic apart from any other clinic in the area.

Baylee, our medical weight loss nutritionist, and Ashley, one of our aesthetic nurses, also teach fitness outside the clinic. It’s one of many examples of how members of our team stay actively engaged in the same principles we guide patients through every day.
At Wellness District, nutrition, movement, metabolic and hormonal health, aesthetics, and medical weight loss are each provided by trained specialists. Patients can access these services independently or as part of a more comprehensive approach — all in one place.
