We have so much to be grateful for this holiday season! Now through the end of the year, we’re collecting canned food items to donate to a local food bank and help those in need.

Meet Sam! She has been a Patient Care Coordinator with us for over a year now. She is one of the first smiling faces you see as you enter our clinic, and one of the first voices you hear on the phone!

Throughout her time with us she has learned the ins and outs of all things hearing aids. While also specializing in making sure our patients get the help they need when it comes to setting up appointments!

Sam grew up in the Fargo area and currently lives in Moorhead, MN. While not at the clinic, she also coaches' volleyball for both Moorhead High School and Moorhead Juniors. She recently got her real estate license this summer!

“I have loved getting to know more about the hearing aid industry and what goes into the practice of Audiology. It is so fun getting to know all the patients, and how hearing aids have helped them better their lives!”

Meet Nicole! She is the newest member of our team at Heartland Hearing Professionals. She is a Hearing Instrument Specialist who recently relocated to Fargo from Minot, ND. She worked in a private audiology clinic in Minot, ND for the past 18 years.

She specialized in the cleaning, maintenance, and care of hearing devices. She enjoys helping people get the most out of their technology — from keeping hearing aids in top working condition, to assisting patients with their Bluetooth connectivity and everyday use.

Nicole and her husband recently moved to the FM area. They have two grown sons Clayton and Aiden. She enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family. She is excited to start this new chapter while becoming part of the community. She is thrilled to bring her experience to Heartland Hearing Professionals and help our patient's stay connected to the sounds, conversations, and moments that matter most in life!

🧠 The Science of Hearing🦻

Your ears never stop working — even when you’re asleep! Your brain just ignores the sound input while you rest.

The inner ear contains the smallest bones in your body: the malleus, incus, and stapes (aka hammer, anvil, and stirrup).

The cochlea (the snail-shaped part of your inner ear) is only about the size of a pea — yet it can detect over 400,000 different sounds.

Hearing happens in the brain, not just the ears — your ears collect sound, but your brain interprets it.

Your right ear is better at processing speech, while your left ear is better at processing music and tone.
