Today we’re celebrating an incredible milestone- 18 years of Lyndi at Healing Touch Chiropractic! 🎉

As our longest-running team member, she has spent the past 18 years building meaningful relationships, overseeing business operations, developing systems, and caring for others, all while bringing hope to thousands of patients.

These days, she works mostly behind the scenes as the rock and foundation of our business, with the occasional front desk appearance. She’s the steady, wise, common-sense presence on our team, the voice of reason and the calm in the chaos. And of course, we can’t forget… she was the infamous googly eye office bandit 👀

Lots of people people think of tonsils as solely extra tissue that keeps getting infected. When in truth, your tonsils are immune organs. Frontline defense as the back of your throat. Everything you eat. Everything you breathe. They’re one of the first places your body checks what’s coming in.

They help your body:
-recognize threats
-build immune memory
-respond appropriately

When they keep getting swollen… inflamed… infected -> that’s your body working overtime.

We’ve normalized removing them like it’s a routine Tuesday thing. But taking out tonsils is a really big deal and it throws your immune system for a loop. It removes a major player. And your body has to adapt:
- pushing that workload elsewhere
- often deeper in the system

Tonsil changes are a sign that the system is overwhelmed, dysregulated, or constantly under stress.

Are there times removal is necessary? I suppose, rarely. But it should never be framed as “they don’t do anything anyway”, because they do. A LOT.

If your kid (or you) are dealing with chronic tonsil issues… don’t just ask,
“how do we get rid of them?”.... Instead listen in to learn what the body is working through and handling right now. Why is the immune system stuck in overdrive?
