Who can relate?? It was leg day for me yesterday. I finished my workout late so I skipped stretching afterwards. And I really feel it today! Stretching is important because it lengthens the muscles that were just shortened during all those reps you just did. Stretching eliminates the lactic acid that builds up in your muscles during a workout. Stretching also improves flexibility and increases blood flow. Do yourself a favor and take the time to stretch after you exercise! 🏋️‍♂️

It’s cold outside!! It finally feels like November here in Pennsylvania and nothing is better for warming the family up like a hot bowl of chili. Salad inspiration! I had berries and some leftover homemade chicken nuggets. (I make a huge batch of these and they are great for salads and quick kids meals!) I used a base of arugula and baby spinach, added the berries, toasted pine nuts, chicken, and topped it with a lemon poppyseed dressing. So good and gluten-free and dairy-free! Who is guilty of picking the radishes out of your salad? 🙋🏼‍♀️ Heck, when was the last time you even tried a radish? Well, I’m here to ask you to give this little red root vegetable a try again. Radishes add a zippy, peppery crunch to salads, crudité platter, and are even delicious roasted. Let me know in the comments if you’ll give them another try. ⬇️⬇️

On the menu today - Chest & Back with . I was so pumped when I was able to increase the weight for the bent over flys. Back and core strength is my weakness due to spine surgery that I had a few years ago. This is proof that small everyday actions lead to big results! Don’t give up - it doesn’t happen overnight.

You will love this chopped salad with chicken, buckwheat, carrots, apples, and cucumbers with a collard green base. Topped with a tangy dressing and chopped pistachios. This is the perfect balance of flavor in a nutrient dense meal. What I love about this salad is that it is super customizable! Swap out the buckwheat for quinoa or farro. Swap out the collard greens for arugula or spinach. Swap out the apples for nectarines. Swap out chicken for tofu or chickpeas to make this vegan. So good and so good for you!
