We’ve talked about SNOO’s and Halo bassinets, now let’s talk about another popular bassinet:
the 4mom’s MamaRoo bassinet.

Here’s some pro’s and con’s to this brand and model to help you make your decision✨

PROS:
🌙Has multiple motion options like kangaroo, wave, and car ride which is helpful for babies that
are used to being held or falling asleep in the car
🌙Contains an app with a “Find your Roo” feature to discover which motion works best for your
baby
🌙Contains mesh sides for breathability and visibility as well as height-adjustability

CONS:
🌙It is in the higher price range which may not be worthwhile if the baby doesn’t like the motions
🌙Doesn’t come with a built in clip in swaddle for the baby like other bassinets do
🌙Some have reported the motor disfunctioning after a few months with squeaks and jerks

Here’s a few pro’s and con’s so you can make a decision that makes sense to you!

PROS:
💫Contains a 360-degree swivel and lowering side panel that allows easy access for babies in
and out of the bassinet, making it particularly useful for postpartum
💫A heavy and sturdy base that will ensure the baby has a secure and safe place to rest
💫Many models include soothing features like vibrations, sounds, and lights that may help the
baby to fall asleep faster

CONS:
💫Since the base of the bassinet is heavy, it can be difficult to move around once assembled
💫Some report the slant in the bassinet as a potential hazard, since the incline can cause the
baby to roll into a dangerous position
💫The soothing features like sounds, lights, and vibrations, require batteries that need to be
replaced frequently

No matter what bassinet you choose, having extra hands during the first few weeks at home is

Tiny Miracles opened their doors in summer of 2021, but it technically started much much sooner. It started when at 15 I was going to family friends homes helping when they had just had a baby. It started 13 years ago when my cousin had twins and I flew to help during bed rest and again when they were born. It started 8 years ago when a Mom who had just had her second baby in 17 months reached out to me for just a couple hours help so that she could nap and shower. And in 2020 during Covid when I lived with that same family for 2 months so that they could have safe help when bringing home their 4th baby. Years of helping friends, family and clients in bringing home their newborns led to me realizing what birth and postpartum doulas really did.

Then when I grew so fast, I knew I needed more help. I needed a team. It is a true privilege not just matching families with doulas, but helping doulas find families to work with and in turn be able to support their own families financially. I love the community we have built here at Tiny Miracles over the last 4 years, and I hope it only continues to grow ❤️
