The Developmental Center

The Developmental Center Inform parents and other potential parents about educational opportunities and local job postings. Hours of operation are Monday thru Friday, 7:00am to 5:00 pm.

Phillips County Developmental Center's daycare program is licensed by Arkansas Department of Human Services. Our mission is to provide quality services to children at an affordable cost. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided and transportation is also available. Our staff consist of certified professionals and paraprofessionals.

Position Details:
Part-Time (2–3 days per week)
Every other weekend is required
Competitive pay based on experience

Qualifications:
Current Arkansas LPN or RN license in good standing
Strong clinical and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience in developmental or long-term care settings preferred

Position Summary:
The Teacher Assistant works under the direction of the Classroom Supervisor/Coordinator to support daily classroom activities. This role assists with preparing and implementing lesson plans, engaging students using age-appropriate methods, and helping maintain a structured, safe, and supportive classroom environment.

Responsibilities Include:
✔️ Assisting with daily lesson preparation and implementation
✔️ Supporting classroom instruction and activities
✔️ Engaging with students in a positive and age-appropriate manner
✔️ Maintaining a safe and organized classroom
✔️ Completing additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
✅ High School Diploma or Equivalent
✅ Valid Arkansas Drivers’ License
✅ Must pass a background check and drug screening
