We are honored to celebrate our Sr. Director of Public Programs Rob Lester as one of this year’s recipients of the Paul Andrew Starke Warrior award. This award recognizes outstanding individuals who care for people living with HIV in  . Rob addressed the crowd:

“I’d like to thank the City of West Hollywood, the City Council, and the Human Services Commission for this generous recognition. To be included among the dedicated, passionate, and compassionate individuals who have received the Paul Stark Warrior Award—both tonight and in years past—is a profound honor.

I also want to thank my colleagues at Men’s Health Foundation. It’s been a remarkable journey working shoulder-to-shoulder with you over the past seven years, and this recognition belongs to all of us.

Most importantly, I want to acknowledge the incredible people whose lives have been touched by HIV. This virus has left deep and lasting scars on our community, and the current political climate threatens to reverse many of the gains we’ve fought so hard to achieve over the past forty years.

But when I look around this room, I am inspired. I know that together—as we always have—we will continue to persevere, to fight, and to overcome.”

As we continue our fight to end healthcare inequity, honoring World AIDS Day and remembering the lives lost is central to our mission.

“In my work as an HIV provider in West Hollywood, I’m moved daily by my patients’ honesty, strength, and hope," says MHF Physician Manuel Pardo, MD. "On World AIDS Day, I pause to remember the lives that shaped this journey and to reaffirm my dedication to standing with our community until the epidemic is truly over.”

To all our donors and staff, we thank you for your dedication our mission, as we work to empower patients to lead longer, happier, healthier lives.

This through December 15, we’re hosting a Holiday Food Pantry Drive for our South LA community. Donate at https://secure.qgiv.com/for/mhfdonations

Your generosity, whether through a Giving Tuesday donation or by dropping off non-perishable food items, directly supports local families and young people who rely on our programs, clinics, and community spaces.

You can drop off items at any MHF location, or make an online donation to support our food security programs and the vital services we provide across Los Angeles.

Every contribution, big or small, strengthens our community and helps ensure that no one goes without during the holidays.
