With spring break here and Skin Cancer Awareness Month around the corner, it is more important than ever that we keep talking about the very real risks of indoor tanning.

The science has not changed, even if the policy has. Tanning beds are a known cause of skin cancer, and early exposure only increases that risk. After decades of educating patients that there is no safe tan, decisions like this only make that message harder to hear.
