His High Places

His High Places His High Places is a Biblical Christian Counseling Ministry. Enter Broken, Leave Whole! One week and two week visits are available.

His High Places is a Christian Counseling Ministry operating in the North Carolina High Country for more than 36 years. We minister to Christians who are in various stages of crisis, pain and emotional woundedness. The most common issues we work with are marital problems (including infidelity), sexual sin, depression, grief, spiritual disillusionment, emotional exhaustion and career burnout. Our guests are housed in their own private quarters in a lovely "bed and breakfast" type home where they receive more than 20 hours of intensive one-on-one biblical counseling per week. Sequestered and pulled out of their daily life, our clients are led to discover the deep root causes of their presenting issues. Through a combination of highly effective spiritual diagnostic tools, scripture, prayer and skilled Biblical counseling our guests experience incredible breakthroughs, deep inner healing, and freedom.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” 🤍

No matter the season you’re in, His goodness remains steady. His love does not waver.

Today, take a moment to pause… and give thanks.

Every morning is a reminder of God’s faithfulness. 🌅

No matter what yesterday held—struggles, questions, or weariness—His mercy meets us again today. Fresh. Steady. Unfailing.

Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed. His compassion never runs out, and His faithfulness never wavers.

Take a moment today to pause, breathe, and remember: His mercies are new this morning.

Every meal is a chance to connect—not just with each other, but with God.

This week’s question: What is one of your favorite evening meals? Can also be breakfast, lunch, or eating out.

Let your answers open hearts and build faith at the table.

Going through the motions of faith but feeling nothing? 😔
You're not broken.
There are 4 real reasons why believers experience spiritual numbness - and it's more common than you think.

💔 Unprocessed wounds
🏃‍♂️ Surface-level living
⚖️ Spiritual imbalance
🏠 Missing authentic community

The good news? Just like physical injuries heal with proper care, so does your spirit.

Sometimes life doesn’t unfold the way we thought it would.

Relationships become strained.
Questions surface.
The path we expected suddenly looks very different.

At His High Places, we believe everyone is on a healing journey—and that the Lord meets us right where we are.

This ministry is a place where people can step away from the noise of everyday life and enter a space that is safe, quiet, and centered on Christ. A place where the Holy Spirit is free to move, speak, and bring restoration.

One life at a time.
One story at a time.

Watch this short video to see the heart behind His High Places. 🕊️

Whatever you’re carrying today, the Lord cares about it.

The big things.
The quiet struggles.
The moments where you’re asking for wisdom, healing, or peace.

We would love to pray with you.

If you have a prayer request, share it in the comments or message us privately.

Let’s bring these things before the Lord together. 🤍🙏

Friday Dinner Table Question 🍽️

The fruit of the Spirit shows up in everyday life through the people around us.

Tonight at dinner, choose one fruit of the Spirit you’ve seen in someone’s life.

Who showed that fruit, and what did they do?

Sharing these stories can help us notice how God is working through the people around us.

Sometimes the most powerful step we can take is simply stepping away.

Away from the noise.
Away from the rush.
Into a quiet space where we can focus on the deeper work God is doing in our lives.

One guest shared this after their time at His High Places:

"There is nothing more powerful than stepping out of our busy, chaotic lives and into a place of solitude where we can focus completely on growing in our intimacy with Christ. HHP provides such an environment and trained Christian counselors to guide you on your journey. As Christians, we are called to take our sanctification seriously. Been considering it? Listen to the Holy Spirit and go."

— Return guest, 4 years later

We’re grateful for the ways God continues to meet people here. 🕊️

At His High Places, every counselor carries a deep heart for helping people experience healing in Christ.

This month we’re highlighting , a Biblical counselor who specializes in helping individuals and couples navigate relational challenges and life transitions.

Sarah’s work focuses on understanding how our relationships and family systems influence the way we connect—with others and with God. With both professional expertise and a heart for ministry, she walks alongside guests as they process difficult experiences and pursue deeper healing.

Whether someone is facing anxiety, trauma, communication struggles, or simply seeking a season of renewal, Sarah’s compassionate approach helps create space for Christ-centered restoration.

We’re grateful for the counselors the Lord has brought to serve here. 🤍

You don’t have to carry things alone. 🤍

One of the ways we care for each other as the body of Christ is through prayer. When one of us is hurting, celebrating, waiting, or hoping, we bring it before the Lord together.

If there’s something on your heart today, we’d be honored to pray with you.

Share your prayer request in the comments or send us a message.

Our team will be lifting these requests up this week. 🕊️

Friday Dinner Table Question 🍽️

Throughout the Gospels, many meaningful moments happen while Jesus is on His way somewhere else. On the road, He notices people, stops to help, teaches His disciples, and shows compassion.

Tonight around the dinner table, talk about it together:

What are some things Jesus did on His way?

Take a few minutes to remember the stories and see what stands out to each person at the table.
