His High Places

His High Places His High Places is a Biblical Christian Counseling Ministry. Enter Broken, Leave Whole! One week and two week visits are available.

His High Places is a Christian Counseling Ministry operating in the North Carolina High Country for more than 36 years. We minister to Christians who are in various stages of crisis, pain and emotional woundedness. The most common issues we work with are marital problems (including infidelity), sexual sin, depression, grief, spiritual disillusionment, emotional exhaustion and career burnout. Our guests are housed in their own private quarters in a lovely "bed and breakfast" type home where they receive more than 20 hours of intensive one-on-one biblical counseling per week. Sequestered and pulled out of their daily life, our clients are led to discover the deep root causes of their presenting issues. Through a combination of highly effective spiritual diagnostic tools, scripture, prayer and skilled Biblical counseling our guests experience incredible breakthroughs, deep inner healing, and freedom.

“I am so grateful for His High Places. I feel that my time spent there has allowed me to know Jesus like never before. I thank God for giving me the direction I needed to come here.”

There is nothing more powerful than watching someone grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus. 🤍

At His High Places, our heart is to create a space where people feel led, seen, and guided toward truth and healing. When someone walks through our doors unsure of what to expect — and leaves knowing Christ more intimately — we give God all the glory.

If you’ve been praying for direction, this could be your sign to take the next step.

Fruit doesn’t grow overnight — and neither does Christlike character. 🌿

Around the table this week, talk about the evidence of God’s work you’ve witnessed in someone else’s life.

Choose one of the fruits of the Spirit that you have seen in another person.
Was it patience during a hard season? Kindness when it wasn’t deserved? Faithfulness over many years?

Celebrate it. Speak it out loud. Encourage one another. 💛

“And the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…” — Galatians 5:22–23

“If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way.”

So much of faithfulness is found in the ordinary.
The quiet prayers.
The daily obedience.
The unseen acts of kindness.

You may not feel like you’re doing something “big,” but heaven sees the small things done with great love. 💛

At His High Places, we believe God often transforms lives not through grand moments, but through consistent, surrendered steps.

What small thing can you do today — with great intention?

ometimes we say, “I’m fine”… when what we really mean is overwhelmed, discouraged, lonely, or hopeful.

The Feelings Wheel is a simple but powerful tool that helps us name what’s really going on beneath the surface. When we can identify our emotions, we can begin to invite God into them. 💛

At His High Places, we believe healing often starts with awareness — and courageously putting words to what we feel.

Take a moment today to pause.
What are you truly feeling right now?

“Search me, O God, and know my heart…”

🍽️ Friday Dinner Table Question

Who is a person that has influenced your life — and how?

Take a moment tonight to share about someone who helped shape your faith, your character, or your journey. What did they teach you? How did they point you toward truth, love, or resilience?

Gratitude grows when we remember the people God has placed in our lives. 💛

✨ From feeling unseen to fully known and fully loved.

Stories like this remind us why His High Places exists. When someone walks through our doors unsure of what to expect but leaves with hope, joy, and renewed sight for what God is doing in their life — we give Him all the glory.

Healing is possible. Hope is real. And your best days can still be ahead. 🤍

If you’re at a crossroads or longing for deeper restoration, we’re here to walk alongside you.

Sundays are a reminder to rest, reflect, and release what we’re carrying. 🌿
If you’re holding onto worry, grief, or unanswered questions, you don’t have to carry them alone.

Drop your prayer requests in the comments or send us a message—we would love to stand with you in prayer today.

Friday nights are for slowing down and remembering the people who have shaped us. 🤍
This week’s dinner table question invites gratitude, storytelling, and deeper connection.

Dinner Table Question:
What is one gift you have been given from someone who has impacted your life?

Sometimes the greatest gifts aren’t things—but wisdom, presence, love, or faith passed down over time. May your table be filled with meaningful conversation tonight.
