Multicultural Counseling Center,MCC

Multicultural Counseling Center,MCC The Multicultural Counseling Center (MCC) was founded in February 2015 by Karla Arroyo, LCSW, Ph.D.

El MCC ofrece servicios de alta calidad a corto plazo en un ambiente de apoyo, involucrando a la familia en el proceso terapéutico.✨

The MCC provides high-quality short-term services in a supportive environment, involving the family in the process.✨ MCC was envisioned as a counseling center that provides various types of services to address mental and behavioral health, offering quality and evidence-based practices involving family and community members.

The mission statement of the Multicultural Counseling Center is to assist individuals, families, and communities in their recovery by delivering effective trauma-informed behavioral health services under a continuum-of-care model. MCC offers a continuum of care that includes therapy, case management, peer support, and skills counseling. We provide services to children, adolescents, and adults through various modalities, including individual, couples, family, and group therapy.

From the early beginning, we envisioned a practice where mental health was not limited to a one-hour therapy session but instead, a service combined with case management and advocacy to help our clients navigate the complexities of life

History of MCC

Multicultural counseling center was founded in February of 2015 by Karla Arroyo, LCSW. Multicultural Counseling Center (MCC) was envisioned from its early beginnings as a counseling center capable of offering quality and evidenced-based practice mental health therapy in a clean and cozy environment so that our clients would feel like visiting a friend at their home. Soon after Karla started Irma Ramos, LMHC, joined the practice and a few months later Viridiana Zendejas became part of the team.

From the early beginning, we envisioned a practice where mental health was not limited to the one hour therapy but that was combined with case management and advocacy to help our client’s problem solve the complexity of life. With the founders of Multicultural Counseling Center being Latina first and second generation of immigrants, we envisioned a practice where our Latino roots could be celebrated and taken in consideration in all of our processes and modalities.

We also wanted a workplace that encouraged the well-being of its employees and was committed to sharing the growth and success of the company with all team members financially and with a lighter workload.

At MCC all of our forms are available in English and Spanish, all of our therapists are bilingual/bicultural in English and Spanish so that clients can have the freedom of expressing their feelings and thoughts in the language that better fits the expression.
