I’ve been reading The Emotion Code by Dr. Bradley Nelson and it’s been a really grounding reminder of how much our bodies carry — not just our minds. 🧠🧘‍♀️

One line that really stuck with me was:
👉“Our emotions are the driving force behind everything that we do.” — Dr. Bradley Nelson, The Emotion Code: How to Release Your Trapped Emotions for Abundant Health, Love, and Happiness👈

That idea — that emotions aren’t just felt but experienced in the body — is something I keep coming back to in my work. Whether we’re regulating the nervous system, moving through old patterns, or just showing up for ourselves one step at a time. It all connects back to how we hold and release what’s inside us.

Big updates happening this year at Shade Tree Embodied Wellness 🌿

As some of you may know the downstairs area has been getting transformed for some time- and it is officially ready! This space has been reimagined into a room for group work, workshops, movement, and embodied practices. It’s been really special watching it come together and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Those already signed up for group offerings this month may be among the first to experience the new space.

Taking a moment to write a letter… to yourself. ✨

We did this in one of our recent group outings and I just loved the idea- this seemed like the perfect time to share! What do you love about you? Your quirks, your strengths, the little things that make your life yours — hobbies, pets, places you’ve been, goals you’re proud of.

Sometimes we forget to notice ourselves. Sometimes we forget to celebrate the everyday wins. Writing it down, and even mailing it to yourself, is a simple way to show up for you.
