During cold weather it may seem odd to talk about hydration, but did you know you can become dehydrated just sitting in your living room? With the dry cold air and the heat running we experience evaporative loss from our skin and lungs, and that coupled with decreased thirst can lead to dehydration. Having sore muscles, joints, brain fog, decreased energy, itchy skin, thick mucus, concentrated urine? All subtle signs of not getting enough fluids in.
To ensure hydration, the general rule of thumb is to divide your body weight in half and that is the minimum number of ounces of water per day. Mtn. Dew and Pepsi doesn't count 😉. Coffee and iced tea you also have to be careful with because of the diuretic effect from the caffeine.
So on this frosty day, load up your glass with a nice refreshing glass of ice water! You will feel better!

Tuesday, January 27, we are open! Thanks to some hard work by our own Jeremiah Davis the parking lot is in better shape, but still be careful if you come in. We look forward to seeing your smiling faces!

We anticipate opening at 10AM on TUESDAY, January 27th. While the parking lot has been plowed/salted it is still in rough shape and if you come to the office please be extremely cautious. We expect call volume to be elevated so please be patient when you call. Thanks again for entrusting us with your care!

We will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026 unless things improve overnight. We are sorry about the inconvenience but need to take additional measures to get the parking area cleared for your safety. We anticipate working additional hours the remainder of the week to catch up. Thanks for your understanding. Hopefully you are warm and safe as you read this!

Small PSA, yesterday our call volume was severely elevated. If you call today, PLEASE give our staff time to take care of the issue before calling back. Depending on patient load it may take 3-4 hours for medications to be called in or your call to be returned, but it will be taken care of by the end of the day. Snow is not expected here until 4PM tomorrow so you will have plenty of time to get to the pharmacy, etc.

Feeling stressed, overwhelmed? We get it. A lot of folks are on the struggle bus right now. We have a suggestion that might help. As soon as you are done reading this post unplug for the weekend. Turn off the tablets, phones, computers, and TV's. Take some time this weekend to just "be". Enjoy the silence, read that book or start that project you've wanted to do, pick up your hobby again, go for a walk outside, cook real food with great smelling ingredients, relearn the names of the people who live in your house and what their face looks like without a device in front of it.
Even better, look the person across the dining table or living room in the eye and carry on a meaningful conversation this weekend. Sit and just stare out the window for a while and see what you can see. Be radical, unplug your whole family...it will be painful for a little while, and you will see and feel what withdrawal can look like, but you will like the results afterward. Good luck!

Goober says it’s time for a long winter‘s nap.
We will be closed for the Christmas holiday from December 24 until Monday, December 29. We will be open 8 AM to 5 PM? December 29 30th and 31st.
We will be closed on January 1 and 2nd.
