This Friday feels special.

We’re hosting our Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting and opening the doors for a community preview of what’s to come.

This building represents long hours, big dreams, and a deep commitment to raising the standard of care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community.

We are still pending final approvals before services begin here, but we would love for you to come see the vision and celebrate this milestone with us.

CHECK US OUT!!!!

Today feels so surreal.

Compassion Care Services is officially the FIRST Down Syndrome Center of Excellence in the United States… and the first Certified Autism Center in Western North Carolina.

When I started this company, it wasn’t about titles. It wasn’t about recognition. It was about families who felt unseen. It was about individuals who deserved more than “good enough.” It was about building a place where people feel safe, understood, and truly supported.

There were moments of doubt. Long nights. Financial risks. Decisions that felt scary. Times I wondered if I was pushing too hard or dreaming too big.

But this right here? This is proof that pushing for better matters.

Our staff completed specialized training in autism, Down syndrome, and sensory support. We went through onsite review. We did the work. And we will continue to do the work…because our members deserve excellence, not just services.

I am so proud of our team. So grateful for the families who trust us. And so emotional thinking about how far we’ve come.

This isn’t just a certification.

It’s a promise.

Not all programs are designed for fast intake…and that’s intentional.

Many families come to us after experiencing:
• Frequent staff turnover
• Overstimulating environments
• Programs that grew faster than their infrastructure

At Compassion Care Services, we grow in planned phases, not all at once.
Each enrollment wave is opened only after staffing, training, and support systems are fully in place.
