Meet Shellie- Pharmacy Technician

Shellie has been working in pharmacy for nearly 20 years, and it shows—in the best way. She truly loves what she does, and people love her. Shellie has a heart for people and is always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help however she can.

Despite her last name, Shellie does anything but little—she goes above and beyond every single day.

We recently went through a long (and very needed!) remodel, and while most of us were thrilled to see the old counters go… Shellie may have been the one person sad to see them leave. She’s got a soft spot for all things retro.

Fun Facts:
🐶 She has four dogs
👯‍♀️ She has a twin sister

We are incredibly grateful for Shellie and the extra mile she goes every day to take care of our customers. 💜

✨ Meet Shalisa ~

Shalisa is friendly, hardworking, and a true team player. During our recent construction, you could find Shalisa just about anywhere she was needed—working behind the counter, at the drive-thru window, outside taking orders, or making deliveries. She brings a positive attitude to everything she does and fits right in with our incredible group of women.

Fun Facts:
🎶 She loves all genres of music, especially live bands. (Maybe you can catch her singing or dancing while she works)

👟She has an obsession with shoes.

🐶Dogs are her soft spot—and dog treats are always on hand for our customers’ fur babies 🐾.

Shalisa says she’s thankful for the group of women she’s blessed to work with every day, and we are so thankful to have her as part of the Professional Pharmacy family! 🥰

✨Meet Alayna — Pharmacist 💊

Alayna loves helping people first—that’s always her priority. She brings kindness, patience, and genuine care to every interaction, making patients feel heard, supported, and confident in their care. After that comes all the normal pharmacist stuff most of us don’t even understand… chemistry, complex calculations, problem-solving, and thoughtful counseling. She does it all with ease and a smile, and her sweet spirit makes our pharmacy an even better place.

Fun facts:
-Loves sourdough baking and all things green (and no… we don’t mean moldy bread
-Always has gum and chapstick
-Watermelon has its own food group in her world.

We’re so thankful for Alayna and all she brings to the pharmacy
Now… we may be casually suggesting she open a Pharmers Market inside the pharmacy gift shoppe—think sourdough and watermelon 🍞🍉. These ideas are entirely ours, not hers… but feel free to support the cause here and in person.

Meet Lori — Pharmacy Technician 💊

Lori has worked in pharmacy for 15 years, and it shows. She’s fast, efficient, friendly, and knows our customers by name. Most importantly, she has one of the biggest hearts you’ll ever find and truly cares for every person she helps.

A little about Lori: She starts every morning with coffee and Jesus. She is partially deaf and reads lips like a pro—skills likely perfected while raising five kids 😉 Her positivity and dedication shine through in everything she does.

Lori loves independent pharmacy because it allows her to truly know her customers—and her work family. She’s worked in very close quarters with her team throughout our remodel and smiled through it all, never missing a beat. That positive spirit is just one of the many reasons she’s so special.

We are incredibly grateful for Lori’s dedication, work ethic, and loving spirit. She is a true part of the PPLA dream team!

✨ Meet Kristen — Pharmacist in Charge ✨

Kristen is a total go-getter—smart, detail-oriented, incredibly efficient, and a loving leader who strives for excellence in everything she does. She leads with confidence, calm, and heart, and we are so thankful for her steady leadership.

Fun fact: Kristen is the perfect mix of South Louisiana roots and North Louisiana red-neck grit—which has earned her bragging rights for harvesting the largest deer on the wall at their house. Sorry, Scott… keep trying. 🦌😄

Another fun fact (and a pharmacy first): Kristen has seen more drive-thru “incidents” than most people will in a lifetime—cars vs. pharmacy walls, poles, signs… if it’s been hit, she’s probably seen it on camera. 🚗💥😅

The good news? The inside pharmacy is now complete and absolutely beautiful, and the drive-thru is in its final phase—being reworked to help prevent any future crashes. 👏🚦

Most importantly, we are incredibly thankful for the way Kristen leads the pharmacy team. She sets the standard, supports her people, and keeps everything running smoothly—even in the middle of chaos. We love you, Kristen, and are so grateful for all you do! 💜✨
