Many parents notice a clicking sound during feeding and wonder what it means. 🍼
Clicking can sometimes happen when babies lose suction, when feeding coordination is still developing, or when maintaining latch feels more difficult.
Occasional clicking may not be a concern, but frequent clicking can be a clue that feeding may feel more challenging than it needs to be.
Understanding the pattern helps guide whether small adjustments or additional support may be helpful.

Not all bottle ni***es flow at the same speed. 🍼
Different brands and ni**le levels can deliver milk faster or slower, which can affect how comfortably babies are able to coordinate feeding.
For some babies, a flow that feels too fast may lead to coughing, gulping, or frequent unlatching.
Understanding bottle flow rates can help you choose options that support a calmer, more coordinated feeding experience.

Mama + Me classes are designed to support both babies and parents during the early stages of development. 👶
These classes offer guidance around feeding, development, and understanding your baby’s cues while creating space for connection and community with other families.
The early months can bring a lot of questions, and having support along the way can make a meaningful difference.

Milk flow plays a bigger role in feeding comfort than many parents realize. 🍼
When milk flows faster than a baby can comfortably coordinate, feeding may feel overwhelming.
Some babies may cough, gulp, leak milk, or repeatedly unlatch as they try to manage the flow.
The goal isn’t to slow feeding unnecessarily — it’s to help babies stay coordinated and comfortable during feeds.

If you’re building your registry, this is something most parents aren’t told. 🍼
Not all bottles — even at the same “level” — flow the same or work the same way for every baby.
Shape, flow, and how your baby coordinates feeding all matter more than most people realize.
Instead of guessing, we can help you find what actually works best for your baby.

If you’ve noticed your baby arching during feeds, you’re not alone. 🍼
Sometimes this movement is simply part of infant development. Other times it can be a clue that something during feeding feels uncomfortable or overwhelming.
Common reasons may include reflux, body tension, or feeding coordination that is still developing.
The goal isn’t to create worry — it’s to better understand what your baby may be communicating.

Just a specialized infant OT casually doing tummy time while taking calls. 🤭
Practice what you preach, right?

If you’ve noticed your baby arching during feeds, you’re not alone. 🍼
Occasional movement is normal, especially in infants who are still learning how to coordinate feeding.
Sometimes, though, repeated arching can simply be a clue that something feels uncomfortable — like milk flowing too quickly, mild digestive discomfort, body tension, or even overstimulation. 🤍
It doesn’t automatically mean something is wrong.
It just gives us information.
Feeding is a full-body experience, and small adjustments in positioning, pacing, or environment can often make it feel smoother and more regulated. ✨
The goal isn’t to create worry — it’s to better understand what your baby may be communicating.

Our #1 goal is to provide you with the tools needed to help you and your child overcome the daily struggles. We teach you how to help your little one meet milestones, tips and tricks to overcome feeding/eating/sleep/behavior difficulties, and strategies to promote learning through PLAY.
Not sure which service is best for you? Take a look below to see which option suits your lifestyle and needs best.
Are you a working mom with a busy schedule? Do you find it difficult to get your little one to therapy sessions each week due to the many curveballs life throws at you? If so, virtual/online consultations may be your best and most convenient option.
Do you have a new baby at home, and are you not quite ready to get out in public just yet? Would you prefer to have therapy in the comfort of your own home? If this sounds like this is more your speed, in-home consultations may be just what mama ordered.
Does your child need multiple services, including Speech and ABA therapy? Do you have the time and ability to get your kiddo to the clinic for therapy sessions each week? If this describes your situation, the team at Connecting Dots will be happy to assist you at the clinic. We are located in the same building as Blooming Potential, which offers ABA and Speech therapy, to provide a comprehensive, team approach to meeting your child’s needs.
