📍 Louisiana is among the states with very high flu activity. Flu season is hitting harder than usual across Louisiana right now. Our state is among those with very high flu activity, and doctors are seeing a strong rise in cases as we head into the holidays — especially Influenza A (H3N2), which tends to hit harder. ER visits for flu symptoms are up, and pharmacies are running low on medicine. Even if the vaccine isn’t a perfect match this year, it still helps reduce severity and hospitalizations — so if you haven’t gotten it yet, consider getting your flu shot.
