We are grateful to share that Mr. Discount Drugs regained electricity today around noon. We will be open tomorrow, Sunday, February 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to help our patients get their prescriptions after being without power all week.

Mr Discount Power Outage update
While we don’t have power yet, BJ’s persistence has paid off and Entergy has sent out a truck to work on the lines that are affecting our drugstore. Once we get power, we will send out an update. Please pray it doesn’t take them long!

Power Update from Mr. Discount Drugs

We want to keep our community informed that we are still without power following the devastating ice storm. In our 30 years of serving this community, we have never experienced an outage of this length.

Since this began, BJ has been in constant communication with local contacts and Entergy to stress the urgency of restoring power to a pharmacy. Today he is continuing those efforts in person at local service stations to advocate for our patients and community.

Behind the scenes, our team is actively preparing so that the moment power is restored, we can move quickly to fill prescriptions and take care of everyone who has been waiting. Once we are operational again, we are fully prepared to work through the weekend to make up for lost time and serve you well.

We know this situation has been difficult for many, especially those needing medications, and we deeply appreciate your patience, understanding, and support during circumstances none of us could have anticipated.

Please know that caring for this community is not just what we do — it is who we have been for the past 30 years. We are praying for power to be restored soon and look forward to welcoming you back through our doors as quickly as possible.
