CSM Day 3!

The physical therapy profession is evolving so rapidly that it is hard to even keep up at times. I am so happy that each year I am able to attend a conference and just catch up on EVERYTHING. This was session #5 with a 3-year-old rockstar diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.

He took his very first steps!! By using DMI (Dynamic Movement Intervention), we were able to challenge his neurological system and push his boundaries in ways he hadnā€™t experienced before. Mom was shocked at the level of challenge, but the results speak for themselves.

Sometimes, the ā€œstandardā€ approach isnā€™t enough. These kiddos deserve to be pushed, challenged, and believed in.

Why is pulling to stand through a half-kneel such a big deal?

Because it builds strength, balance, and coordination by teaching each leg to do something different (one bends and one pushes).It is a key skill for walking!
