The holiday season is here, and while toys bring joy, some can pose risks to your child’s vision. We care about keeping those little eyes safe and healthy.

Here are a few tips for choosing safe toys:

• Avoid toys with sharp edges or small detachable parts that can cause eye injuries.
• Choose age-appropriate toys—check the recommended age on packaging.
• Skip projectile toys like darts or BB guns, which can cause serious eye damage.
• Look for safety labels such as ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) standards.
• If an eye injury occurs, seek immediate medical attention—quick action can make all the difference.

Wishing you and your family a safe and joyful holiday season!

November is National Family Caregivers Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the dedication of those who care for loved ones. Whether you're a caregiver or know someone who is, we want to remind you: your health matters too.

Caregivers often put others first, but taking care of your own eye health is essential—not just for you, but for those who depend on you. Regular eye exams can help detect early signs of vision changes, eye strain, and conditions like glaucoma or diabetic eye disease.

We’re here to support caregivers with compassionate, comprehensive eye care. If it’s been a while since your last exam, we invite you to schedule a visit this month.

Thank you for all that you do. Let us help you keep your vision strong and clear.

November is National Diabetes Month, and it’s the perfect time to highlight the importance of eye health for people living with diabetes.

Did you know that diabetes is a leading cause of vision loss? Conditions like diabetic retinopathy, macular edema, and glaucoma can develop silently and progress without noticeable symptoms. That’s why regular eye exams are essential—even if your vision seems fine.

We’re committed to helping you protect your sight. If you or a loved one has diabetes, we encourage you to schedule a comprehensive eye exam this month.

Let’s work together to keep your vision clear and healthy.

Halloween is a time for fun costumes and spooky makeup—but don’t let eye infections haunt your holiday!

As part of Halloween Eye Safety Month, we’re sharing a few quick tips to help you protect your eyes while enjoying the festivities:

🎃 Never share makeup – Sharing might spread bacteria and lead to infections.
🕷️ Avoid metallic, glitter, or flaky makeup – These can irritate your eyes or cause scratches.
🦇 Remove all eye makeup before bed – Sleeping in makeup increases the risk of infection.
👻 Toss old makeup – If it’s older than 3 months, it’s time to say goodbye (bacteria, ew!).

Your eye health is important to us—stay safe and have a frightfully fun Halloween!

October 16th marks World Food Day, a global celebration of healthy, sustainable eating—and it’s the perfect time to remember that what’s good for your body is also great for your eyes!

Your diet plays a powerful role in protecting your vision. Foods rich in vitamins A, C, and E, omega-3 fatty acids, and antioxidants like lutein and zeaxanthin can help reduce the risk of eye conditions like macular degeneration and dry eyes.

Here are a few eye-loving foods to add to your plate:

🥬 Leafy greens like spinach and kale
🥕 Carrots and sweet potatoes
🐟 Fatty fish like salmon and tuna
🥚 Eggs, nuts, and seeds
🍊 Citrus fruits and berries

This World Food Day, let’s celebrate the connection between good nutrition and good vision. Your eyes will thank you!

Need help keeping your vision sharp? Schedule your next eye exam with us today.

Your eye exam could reveal more than you think.

Did you know that certain cancers, including breast cancer, can sometimes show signs in the eyes? During a comprehensive eye exam, optometrists can detect subtle changes that may indicate systemic health issues—making regular eye exams an important part of your overall wellness.

This October, as we honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we encourage you to prioritize your health from head to toe—including your eyes.

Whether you're due for your annual exam or just want peace of mind, we're here to help you see clearly and stay healthy.
