Kicking off this week with a visit to our Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus team! Our President and CEO Mark E. Manigan spent some time with hospital leadership, EVS and more this morning. Here are some highlights from the visit!

Our new Helistop at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton will expand the hospital's ability to quickly transfer critically ill or injured patients in need of advanced, specialized, or trauma care and will provide a designated landing and takeoff area for medical helicopters, including those in RWJBarnabas Health’s LifeFlight fleet. Mark E. Manigan, our President and CEO, and members of our health system leadership were excited to join the hospital team at a ribbon cutting ceremony held for the Helistop at the hospital on Friday. Enjoy these highlights!

The Helistop is available 24/7 for critical medical emergencies, working in tandem with the hospital’s ground ambulance team. Designed to reduce the time it takes to transfer emergent patients in need of trauma, stroke, cardiac, or other specialized care, the Helistop will enable rapid transport during life-threatening scenarios.

Our commitment to quality and patient safety cannot be overstated. We congratulate RWJBarnabas Health’s 12 hospitals receiving high marks for patient safety in The Leapfrog Group’s Fall 2025 Hospital Safety Grades!

Seven RWJBarnabas Health hospitals earned an “A” grade, including Community Medical Center; Monmouth Medical Center; Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus; Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton; Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway; Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset and Trinitas Regional Medical Center.

Clara Maass Medical Center; Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center; Jersey City Medical Center; Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children's Hospital of New Jersey; and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital each received a “B” grade.

Yvette and Yvonne are very close sisters. They've bonded over so much together, including debilitating knee pain. Together, they found a solution with our Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Jaclyn Jankowski. Here they share their journey.

In this 1st of a 3-part series, each sister describes the day-to-day impact of her knee pain. From trouble climbing steps to limited mobility and weight gain and difficulty with everyday errands, they endured many challenges.
