Spent the last couple days on Lake Okeechobee with a good friend and repeat client Chris and his mom Kristen. His whole goal was to beat his PB Large Mouth of 3 pounds, so after we did that in the first 30mins of day one…. 😅😭🤣😭
but no seriously Chris had one of those trips to Okeechobee people dream about! He had over a dozen fish both days, day one he caught his PB coming right in at 6 pounds, throwing a gambler swimjig with a EZ swimmer trailer( his first time ever throwing a swimjig by the way) and she came up out the grass and gave him a good ol Okeechobee bass showdown!
Day two we set up for a full shiner day, and he caught not one, not two, not three, but FOUR largemouth well into the 5+ pound class range, and a bonus 8.6pound Bowfin that he so effortlessly manifested, by saying “catching a big bowfin would be cool”, my mind was BLOWN! This lake never fails to amaze me, can’t wait to show more and more people this beautiful place!
