In honor of Black History Month, we’re recognizing William Henry Cling of South Carolina, the inventor of the Home Hospital Bed (circa 1906).

His innovation, which allowed patients to sit upright safely in bed, transformed home care and recovery in ways that continue to protect and support lives today.

At Clinics Can Help, we see firsthand how life-changing medical equipment can be and we’re grateful for pioneers like Cling whose contributions still make a difference every single day. 🤍
