My Fitness Story

My journey towards making a serious change to my health and lifestyle occurred one morning during my senior year of high school. I was rushed to the hospital because of a sudden sharp, stabbing pain in my abdomen. I had developed multiple kidney stones that needed to be surgically removed because of my lack of water intake, and poor diet. It was by far the worst pain I have ever experienced in my life and to make the situation worse, I had my gallbladder removed a year later. I started to become much more health conscience after I graduated high school and quit my job as a waitress to pursue a career in Fitness.

I got certified as a trainer in 2009 and fell in love with learning how to help people both physically and mentally. We all struggle to keep a healthy balance, and understanding that it is okay to fail, feels amazing when you overcome a challenge. Besides, if this was easy everyone would do it.

Sometimes it takes a wake up call to motivate you. Luckily, my condition was non life-threatening, and I was able to make a full recovery and work towards helping others achieve their own goals. Don't wait until it's too late. Success is the result of small efforts repeated day-in and day-out. Remind yourself that progress is what’s important, not perfection. Make this life count. Take the good with the bad. Only YOU have the ability to transform and shape how you want to feel, and how you want to look. Never give up on your goals. Don’t compare yourself to anyone else and never stop pushing yourself to become the best YOU can be.
