The Plek system for fretted instruments.
I consider the Cerec system in my office one of the greatest advances in modern dentistry. It uses CAD/CAM technology that allows me to fabricate porcelain crowns that are strong and beautiful in one visit.
Today I saw that technoogy used to optimize the fretboard on my spanish guitar and make corrections so accurate that they could not be achieved by hand.

I just received an email from a well known group with "the new normal" guidelines for dental treatment rooms which involve an aerosol procedure (over 80% of procedures) with a number of guidelines that would be almost impossible to follow in a dental setting short of extensive remodeling of the office.
Things such as completely closing the dental operatory for an aerosol procedure (many offices have open bay designs). Also leaving the room untouched for 120 to 180 minutes to "allow aerosols to settle before disinfecting it ".
The recommendations are not evidence or research based and would severely hurt dental practices as opposed to the current CDC guidelines here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/dental-settings.html
