💙 At IHCS, we believe dignity is the foundation of care.

Our team recently took part in another inspiring professional development session led by Kenyatta Connaway, LMHC () — focused on The Ten Essential Elements of Dignity.

Through open discussion, reflection, and shared values, our staff explored how dignity shapes everything we do, from how we serve clients to how we treat one another.

These trainings strengthen our mission to provide compassionate, trauma-informed, and person-centered care while fostering a culture of respect within our organization and community.

Thank you, Kenyatta, for your continued partnership and leadership in helping us elevate our impact through empathy, teamwork, and humanity. 🌿

Another Grant Success for IHCS!

We’re proud to share that IHCS was selected for the 4Imprint One by One Grant, receiving funding to create custom reusable water bottles for our staff, volunteers, and clients. 💧

This grant supports our mission to promote wellness, sustainability, and community engagement. In Florida’s heat, staying hydrated is essential, especially for the vulnerable populations we serve through outreach, behavioral health, and housing programs.

These bottles will not only help our Homeless Outreach Team stay safe in the field but also serve as a symbol of IHCS’s commitment to preventive care, environmental responsibility, and holistic health.

This achievement reflects IHCS’s growing reputation for excellence in grant writing, partnerships, and disciplined community leadership, ensuring every opportunity turns into impact. 🌟

A big thank you to 4Imprint for helping us bring health, care, and compassion to the people who need it most.

Welcome Home! 🏠

Thanks to our partnerships with HUD and the City of West Palm Beach, IHCS has welcomed 10 new residents into our Permanent Supportive Housing Program! 💙

Each resident received a welcome basket, met with their case manager, counselor, and peer specialist, and began their journey with our primary care team to build a foundation for stability and wellness.

Every apartment is more than housing, it’s hope, healing, and a fresh start. 🌟

At the Drug Abuse Foundation’s Recovery Summit, Dr. Monique Brown-Faust shared powerful insights on the lasting health and housing effects of the crack epidemic — from chronic illness and intergenerational trauma to the deep housing inequities that persist today.

Her presentation shed light on how addiction and housing instability remain intertwined, especially in communities disproportionately impacted by historic policies like the “One Strike” eviction rule.

At IHCS, we carry this mission forward through Dignity Village and our HOST Program, providing permanent supportive housing, behavioral health, and primary care to those rebuilding their lives after addiction and homelessness.

Healing isn’t just about treatment, it’s about restoring dignity, access, and opportunity. 🌿
