At IHCS, our HOST Program (Homeless, Outreach, Stabilization, Transitional & Wellness) delivers that coordination in real time. Homelessness isn’t just a housing shortage, it’s a complex public health challenge linked to economic instability, trauma, mental health conditions, and substance use. In 2024, an estimated 771,480 people experienced homelessness in the U.S., the highest count on record.

Research shows that behavioral health challenges and addiction often co-occur with unstable housing, creating a cycle where each condition intensifies the other.

Strategies like Housing First, which provides low-barrier, permanent housing first and wraps supportive services around residents, lead to improved housing stability and engagement with treatment services, even for people with substance use disorders.

At IHCS, we integrate supportive housing, behavioral health care, medical care, and outreach because long-term wellbeing requires addressing the whole person, not just one symptom.

Riviera Beach Integrated Care will work to keep you healthy and away from long waits at an emergency room full of sick people. Our practice is operated by highly trained practitioners, and supported by specially trained and certified staff members. The staff includes experienced clinicians with extensive medical training in the diagnosis and treatment of primary and emergency care problems.
