Welcome Joanna Lynne Groebel to The Nest Collaborative
Joanna brings a rare depth of experience that beautifully bridges psychotherapy, somatic healing, contemplative traditions, and creative expression. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Creative Arts in Therapy from Drexel University, and holds specialized certifications in EMDR and Brainspotting for trauma resolution. Her work is deeply informed by decades of spiritual practice and study.
Joanna has immersed herself in the study of Qigong with respected masters including Lorelei Chang, Ken Cohen, and Daisy Lee, and has practiced Zen meditation for more than 25 years. Her path has also included training in Reiki, SoulCollage facilitation, creative arts practices such as Point Zero Painting, and even shamanic apprenticeships in Peru and the Mayan traditions. Through all of this study, her intention has remained the same: supporting people in reconnecting with their true nature and their fullest creative capacities.
Joanna offers Qigong and Life Nourishing Practices every Tuesday from 8:30–9:30am. These gentle, meditative movement practices help cultivate balance, vitality, and inner quiet. Each class includes flowing qigong movements, supportive acupressure points, and Daoist wisdom teachings.
On Thursdays at 8:30am Joanna offers Metta Qigong class focusing on cultivating the qualities of a healthy heart- quiet, space, emptiness- and to learn to let go.through visualization and soothing, balancing qigong flows. You will also learn powerfully supportive meridians and acupressure points. Daoist philosophy and health practices will be offered as well. We will send Metta Qi (loving kindness) to ourselves, our loved ones, and all beings in this world of great need at the end of class.. a loving-kindness energy offered to ourselves, our loved ones, and the wider world.
No experience is necessary. These practices are accessible to all. They offer a beautiful complement to yoga, meditation, and other wellness practices offered at The Nest.
Also, stay tuned for Joanna's unique art therapy workshops coming soon!

"You are perfectly alright and have been since beginningless time."
We hope you’ll join us in welcoming Joanna and experiencing the nourishing power of Qigong.
