Sound Bath: Hope & the Four Bliss Petals
Hope does not live in the mind. It lives much deeper in the body.
At the beginning of this month’s Sound Bath, we'll explore four simple hand mudras, ancient gestures used in yoga to guide energy and awareness in the body. Each mudra will invite us to connect with one of the four subtle petals of bliss described in yogic teachings at the base of the spine.
These petals represent our innate capacities for stability, vitality, belonging, and contentment- qualities that form the quiet foundation of hope within us.
When life becomes heavy or uncertain, these petals can feel closed or hidden beneath stress, worry, and the constant activity of the mind. Yet yoga reminds us that bliss is never lost. It simply waits for the right conditions to unfold again.
After exploring these grounding gestures, we will settle into the deeper portion of the evening as the vibrations of crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes wash gently through the body. Sound has a way of reaching places words can't .... softening the nervous system, releasing tension along the spine, and awakening the deeper currents of our being. As your body rests and listens, the subtle petals of bliss begin to open once again. From that place of openness, hope naturally rises.
Join us for an evening of resonance, restoration, and renewal as we continue this month’s exploration of Hope and the Four Bliss Petals.
