“I don’t really eat junk food.”

“I never eat fast food.”

Cool.

So why are you up 15–20 pounds?👀

Most people blame:
• Hormones
• Cortisol
• Inflammation
• Age

And sure — those can matter.

But let’s be honest…

Nothing dramatic happened.

You just slowly started moving less.

Less pickup games.

There's nothing EASY about weight loss or muscle gain.

But we can make it simple, then the HARD part is DOING it.

But to simplify if you're trying to build muscle here are some tips for increasing calories.

1. Know how much you need. If you're not a client or I haven't helped you with this, just use any online calculator.

2. When it comes to adding calories, I'll usually advise to forget about the Marco split, just get the calories in.

3. Snack on energy dense ( high calorie) foods. Things like nuts, , nut butters, and full fat diary are good options.

4. Drink your calories. If you're trying to lose weight , obviously the exact opposite. But so often, people report being too full. Getting those additional calories in via liquids could help to get the additional calories in.

There are always many ways to an end, but these can help getting in those needed calories to be in a surplus.
