Very important, please read:
Yesterday was my best friends birthday he would've been 69. My best friend Tom died from complications from his work related injuries in 2024. Similar issues to what we are experiencing and why his step father got involved fighting WC.
His step father called to talk. He is a International Rep for a very large union and has been arguing with WC & NY Governor.
( He doesn't want his name or name of the union he represents because he also doesn't want angry people calling him. It would only make matters worse)
At a meeting Dr. Zhans name came up.
This story has gained ground around NY.
Except he told me that the pushback from all of the phone calls, texts etc to local politicians, the WC board and anybody we have been contacting is actually doing more harm to Dr. Zhans case of being reinstated.
He realizes this is very emotional but when contacting someone and we begin yelling, arguing we are only going to get resistance, not the help we are looking for.
So his advice and mine is to let Dr. Zhans lawyers do their job. A job both are very good at.
Please I have asked if you contact anybody to be nice, but many didn't heed my advice.
Now please, please stop contacting anybody.
Let this play out. No more contacting anyone, any business or government agencies!
Any news that I hear you all will be the first to know. And I am sure when Dr. Zhan receives either good or bad news she will also let us all know.
And if I can say for Dr. Zhans health, please let her do her job. She knows all her patients love her.

Good morning everyone,
As of now there has been no news on how Dr. Zhans case of her getting reinstated is going. As they say, "no news is good news" at least we haven't been told that WC has said that their answer to this is a final No!
As long as they are still talking, negotiating there's still hope...

Update:
Tomorrow, Tuesday 3/31/2026 at 3:00 PM Dr. Zhan meets with her lawyer as they continue working on resolving this.
Don't lose hope and keep the faith.

Mourning Warblers are among the last migratory birds to arrive in Western New York and the surrounding region, typically appearing in mid-to-late May. As tropical migrants, they travel long distances, arriving well after early spring birds like Red-winged Blackbirds and American Woodcocks, which often appear in late February or March.

Key details regarding the timing of spring bird arrivals include:
Late Arrivals (Mid-Late May): Besides Mourning Warblers, other late migrants include various warblers, flycatchers, and orioles that depend on fully developed foliage and insect populations.
Early Arrivals (Late Feb-March): Red-winged Blackbirds, Common Grackles, and American Robins are the first to arrive.
Mid-Season (April): Raptors like Broad-winged Hawks, along with Killdeer and Tree Swallows, arrive throughout April.

While many birds are back by May, the warblers that go furthest north are usually the last to arrive in the region.

I hope nobody is upset that I'm posting some nature things. Just keeping our minds off what is happening. Until Dr. Zhan is reinstated.
After today, I won't post anything besides updates on Dr. Zhans future, hopefully she will be with us all again soon.

I have represented myself for the last 15-20 years now. Today most hearings you will be seeing a different Judge per virtual hearings. Very hard for a new judge to get up to speed on your case. Meanwhile you are only allotted 15 minutes per hearing. The Judge has a box on his bench that is easily visible where he hits start as the hearing begins. The Judge has allowed the hearing to last longer than 15 minutes but not by much. In virtual hearings I do not see the timer. Some cases could take up to two hours to resolve. That means you will have eight 15 meetings sometimes taking months to resolve... You cannot put in mileage for workers comp hearings, parking lot charges for attending hearings or going to the pharmacy for your medications. I prefer virtual meetings for that reason.
