Yesterday (July 1, 2023) was the 7th anniversary of Thomas Removal Service LLC! It has been an amazing journey to reach this 7 year milestone. Tracey and I appreciate all the funeral homes in the Tri-State area that have trusted Thomas Removal Service LLC to assist them with their services. We have come a long way since July of 2016. We started with 1 van and a borrowed stretcher from Edder Funeral Home. We had 1 call the entire month of July 2016. Now in 2023 we are averaging over 70 calls per month with a fleet of 3 vans and 2 hearses. We are serving the Erie County Coroner Office, Center for Organ Recovery & Education, and many funeral homes in PA, OH, and NY.

We could not have done this without the many people that have helped with the transfers when we called. A special thanks to Mike Lockwood for all the out of town trips. We couldn't have done this without him! In fact this post is a day late because yesterday we handled 9 calls!
Looking forward to serving our region for many more years!

The newest van in the fleet. 2023 Chrysler Pacifica All Wheel Drive. Put into service on June 16, 2023.

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica has been retired. This van was primarily used by George and it had over 272,000 miles! The van still looks great, but it was time to retire. It is being replaced by a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica All Wheel Drive van.

All vans have a custom designed interior for the transport of 2 stretchers or a shipping container. The vans consist of a wooden sub structure that provides a sturdy level surface along with storage areas under the floor.

The “transport deck” is designed by George and has gone through 3 design improvements. The current design consists of a higher raised sub floor with additional supply storage and a seamless stainless-steel tray with glide strips installed for easy transfer of shipping containers. A stainless-steel ramp is also built into the tray to protect the van bumper and provide a smoother “roll” into the van. -

We empathize with their grief, and we try to relieve some of that grief and stress by giving them the confidence to know that their loved one will be well taken care of during this transfer process from their home.
