A Veterans Day tribute from Dr. Ted Booker:

“Today is Veterans Day, and I just want to say thank you to all of my friends and family who served this country, whether by volunteer or draft. You stopped the rise of real fascism in Europe, then stopped the advancement of Marxism until it was defeated, the walls fell, and the troops went back to Russia. You slowed the role of Communism through SE Asia with valor and unrelenting bravery. Then, when once again called on, you went to wherever you were needed: Beirut, Grenada, Panama, Libya, Bosnia, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Iraq, and most recently to end the threat of nuclear war by Iran. You have answered the call and performed your jobs spectacularly. Your actions have protected freedoms and saved lives both here in America and around the world. ‘Thank you’ just does NOT seem enough for all the sacrifices you’ve made for us all.

I’ve had the opportunity to share air with so many of you and heard your experiences, struggles, and trauma. You should know that I (we) see you. We might not have been with you on battlefields, ships, airstrips, or bases, but we are with you now in any struggles you have. You have our infinite admiration and appreciation. God bless you all. A Medicare Annual Wellness Visit is a yearly, covered visit under Part B to create or update a personalized prevention plan. It is not a physical exam but includes a health risk assessment, a review of your medical and family history, routine measurements like blood pressure and weight, and a check of your cognitive function, mobility, and fall risk.
