While this venture is still in its infancy, Family Pride Wigwam was originally started by my grandfather in the mid-1980's. We sold at all kinds of different Fair's and Farmers Markets, and at one time he even had a physical store at Trolley Square here in Salt Lake City, Utah. Since then he has gotten out of the retail jewelry business, has retired, and now suffers from dementia and resides full-time in a care center. In creating this version of Family Pride Wigwam, I am incorporating the Norse/Viking jewelry into it as well. I am very big into genealogy...I have been able to trace my family history well into the Viking Age (circa 793-1066). Then there’s my maternal grandfather who was indigenous Zapotec Indian from Oaxaca, Mexico. Can you blame me for being so enthralled by my Family Heritage? Needless to say, we here at Family Pride Wigwam have a healthy Love and Respect for both the Native American and the Viking lifestyles. It is our hope that we can bring some Beautiful and Awe-inspiring pieces of jewelry to you from both of these cultures. You have my word that you’ll love our selection!
