CMS announced 80 new ICD-10-PCS procedure codes, effective April 1, 2026, in addition to the 156 codes implemented Oct. 1. The updates include new cardiovascular, digestive system, genitourinary, wound management, and circulatory system procedures. The CPT® 2026 E/M section brings notable updates to Remote Physiologic Monitoring (RPM). Descriptors for 99453 and 99454 are revised, and new code 99445 is added for device supply and daily recording or transmission for two to 15 days in a 30-day period. Code 99470 is also introduced for the first 10 minutes of RPM treatment, leading to revisions to 99457 and 99458, plus new guidelines and parenthetical notes.
