Happy Tuesday, February 24th from all of us at Arbor Springs! We held our morning paint & sip activity, with a suggested theme from Assistant Andrea 🎨🍀 🌈 , as we look 👀 ahead to the month of March. This afternoon, residents gathered for our weekly Book Club 📖 and then ended the day with Bible Study & singing 🎶.

Our residents held their Helping Hands activity this afternoon and worked together to make two dog treats (peanut butter & oat balls and also whipped cream Pup Cups) for our furry friends 🐶 at the ARL (Animal Rescue League)! It was great teamwork and we were happy that family members of Alta, Kay, Marietta, and Earl helped.

Did you know…that The Cafe is THE place to be for our group activities?!?

We had a great time together on Friday afternoon during the Red Hat Club Social ❤️, gathered to worship and receive communion this morning during our church ⛪️ service and hymn sing 🎶 with Lutheran Church of Hope volunteers, and then ended today with Kate’s Korner: featuring Special Chips & Cash (eating potato chips and other bagged snacks 😋 while listening to Johnny Cash music 🎵 )!

It was another engaging day at Arbor Springs! We hope you enjoy looking thru our photos 📸…

We are so very thankful to Volunteer Peggy for her commitment to deliver Catholic Communion and Blessings every other week on Thursday mornings 🙏!

We welcomed back the Valley Kids to help us this morning with a game of horse shoes 🐴, ping pong ball toss, a mini-movement class led by Michelle, and a sing along 🎶.

This afternoon, we held three activities back to back…color therapy (and some fun facts about) featuring Arabian Horses, our Book Club, and Marilyn Jerome’s guitar music 🎵.

Photos from Wednesday 2/18/26 include ARL TheraPet 🤗team visits from Jada Mae the dog and volunteer Lynette, as well as our Parachute Game with bouncing balloons 🎈in The Cafe.

We want to thank 🙏 Volunteer Zach for bringing Tilly the dog for one to one visits into the neighborhoods after lunch & also thank 🙏 EveryStep Hospice for their spiritual volunteers leading our afternoon Ash Wednesday service.

We have been celebrating 🎉 at Arbor Springs with lots of parties…On Monday morning 2/16/26, we held President BINGO with the Link Volunteers and served popcorn 🍿to all the players! In the afternoon, Kate did some Presidential trivia ❤️🤍💙 during the social.

Today, for Fat Tuesday, 2/17/26 we held our Mardi Gras 👑 social in the morning (complete with King’s Cake and green punch) and then held our Chinese New Year 🧧 social in the afternoon where we celebrated Resident Jay O’s Birthday along, with the year of the horse 🐴. Michelle read some trivia and everyone got to scratch off & read their fortunes! Special thank you 🙏 to Jay’s Family for sponsoring the delicious cake 😋.

We also celebrated the second day of orientation for our new employees-please help us welcome each of them to our team 🙌!

And, Resident Nancy B did some “celebrating” with cat cuddles 🥰 today, too!

❤️❤️ Happy Valentine’s Day to ALL! ❤️❤️

We celebrated our Sweetheart Couples this morning and discovered that those 8 couples in The Cafe (out of 19 couples here at Arbor Springs) had a collective 450 years of marriage 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏!

Thank you to our dietary department for making the yummy sweets 😋 & for Michelle who acted as our official photographer 📸 at the activity.

Thanks 🙏to Ed’s Family (daughter Pam) for providing some special piano 🎹 music in our Cottonwood neighborhood this morning.

This afternoon we then held our Valentine’s Day Party 🎊 and welcomed the Arbor Springs Choir (and all guests) to join us in singing 🎶 “Happy Birthday” to Barb, as well as 6 other love songs.

Thank you to Barb P’s Family for providing the cookies 🍪 and joining us in the celebration 🥳!

Yesterday, we featured the Montessori Focus of “Share a Music Memory” and held our Music Therapy session with Jackie after breakfast and our Arbor Strings with Laura activity after lunch. Thanks to Kate for taking pictures during those activities. We really loved 🥰 seeing everyone dancing together and enjoyed hearing residents sing 🎵 along during both of our events!
