When rehab is done right… your lifts prove it

This is what happens when rehab meets real training.

Not cookie cutter exercises.
Not “just stop lifting.”
A plan built around your goals.

The results speak for themselves.

DM MOVE if you’re ready to train without your back holding you back.

Hip tightness and back pain go hand in hand.

If the hips don’t move well, the back has to pick up the slack.

If you’ve tried to stretch with no long term benefit, save this for later!

This works because it works to stretch the muscles on the back of the hip AND gets the hip to roll back in the hip socket.

Do 12 reps before doing lifts like deadlifts or squats and you’ll feel a huge difference

You don’t keep getting hurt because you’re fragile.

You keep getting stuck because you’re applying a high-performance mindset to a problem that requires precision.

Doing more.
Pushing harder.
Adding intensity.

That works when you’re building fitness.
It fails when you’re rebuilding capacity.

The people who struggle the most are usually the most disciplined.

They don’t need more effort.
They need a better strategy.

If you’re tired of repeating the same injury cycle, it’s probably not a motivation issue.

It’s a direction issue.

Save this if you’re done spinning your wheels.

We see you.

You’re dedicated to your health and fitness, but sometimes it feels like your body doesn’t agree with your goals.

If you’ve already tried to stretch, strengthen, and push harder through the pain, it’s your body telling you that it’s not weakness.

Instead, you need a different strategy.

Follow along here for ways to get back to training with confidence 💪🏻

Most active people don’t ignore pain because they’re careless.
They ignore it because they’ve been taught that pushing through is the price of progress.

But pain isn’t proof you’re doing damage.
And it’s not something you’re supposed to just accept as you get older.

It’s feedback.

When you learn how to respond to it, your training starts working with your body instead of against it.

You’re not broken.
You just haven’t been shown a better way yet.

Save this if you’re done guessing!

This weekend reminded us why mindset matters.
Listening to Johnny Quinn talk about resilience, adversity, and showing up when it’s hard hit close to home.

Progress—whether in life or your body—starts with refusing to quit.

Mobility work isn’t about endless stretching.

It’s about:
• Knowing why you’re doing the drill
• Matching it to your goals
• And using it to actually change how you move

Mindless movement = temporary relief
Intentional mobility = long-term change

That’s the difference most people miss.

It’s been a tough few weeks for Dr. Aaron and his knee

But it has been a good reminder of how his patients feel when they are in pain and unable to the things they enjoy

He had a case of bursitis that suddenly got infected. Antibiotics calmed the infection but the swelling continued

It was recommended to not drain it so the infection didn’t spread. 6 weeks later the fluid remained and it got drained

The aftermath? Weakness and loss of control around the knee (see the shakiness on the 4th slide)

If he just gets back into working out without also addressing those things, he is at a higher risk of a more serious knee injury in the future

The pain is gone but the work is just beginning. Does anyone know a good rehab provider to help him out?

Most people think pain is simple.
Neck pain = neck problem.
Back pain = back problem.

But complex cases don’t work like that.

This patient had neck, jaw, and low back pain.
Treating one spot would’ve missed the real issue.

The problem wasn’t just pain.
It was how his body was moving, recovering, and handling training.

Here’s what we did:
1. Emphasized sleep and stress management
2. Hands on treatment and exercises to relief nerve pain and improve range of motion
3. Tweaked training for better recovery
4. Provided tools to improve his movement throughout the day while at work

Complex cases don’t need more treatment.
They need better thinking and a plan that fits the individual.

DM ROOT if nothing you’ve tried has worked.
