Q1 - Since being diagnosed with endometriosis in February of 2025, I’ve made it my personal mission to empower women to advocate for themselves when it comes to their reproductive health and their health in general. I have done my own research on endometriosis and have done my part in speaking up for better treatment of this invisible but debilitating disease. I have been looking into creating a support group for women and organizing fundraising events to further this research and empower women with the help they deserve.
Q2 - I’ve always been an athlete growing up so I try to be as active as possible. I have run marathons, I play sand volleyball, I take frequent long walks or hikes with my dogs, and enjoy weight lifting and Pilates. I also manage a fantasy football team…which causes just as much stress as actually playing football 😉
I am a people-person even outside of work. I host soup nights for my girlfriends, am part of a book-club, and am always talking on the phone with long-distance friends.
I am very close to my family. My husband is truly my best friend. We created a “2025 Bingo Card” to try new experiences and create new traditions this year. My husband and my dad are very close and spend a lot of weekends together golfing. My mother and I love this because it provides us with another excuse to spend the whole day together without our husbands doing “girlie” activities.
Q3 - My husband I recently went to Alaska for our 10 year wedding anniversary. 5/5 Stars: Would recommend. I would want to either go to Alaska again (Whale watching, hiking, eating fresh seafood, off-road jeep adventures, etc) or somewhere very similar. My husband is Scandinavian so we’ve discussed looking into traveling abroad to Europe as well.
Q4 - I have a white board on my fridge that I write everything down on each week- even things that I already know I’m going to do and that are the same each week. It’s an adaptive strategy I have been doing since high school that has helped me organize my busy brain, keep me focused, and effectively prioritize my week. I don’t always get everything done but it helps me function. If you ask my husband, parents, friends, in-laws…they all will attest that each week, there’s a whiteboard list. It’s the first thing my husband will redirect me back to if I start to feel overwhelmed.
Q5 - Hidden talent- I’m an extremely fast reader. I also think I might have a photographic memory which then helps me comprehend what I read even if I did end up reading it TOO fast.
Hidden fact- I was born without the ability to smell. I just thought I wasn’t very good at it so I “faked it” by mirroring other people’s facial expressions up until I was about 14yo. Once I told my mom, we had tests done, a couple MRIs, and eventually I had surgery my junior year of high school to fix it… but it didn’t work. I just now base my perfumes, candles, lotions, etc off other people’s recommendations or the pretty container.
