There is currently no data suggesting obstructive sleep apnea by itself can put you at higher risk of contracting coronavirus. There's also no evidence of an increase in COVID symptom severity because of it. Philips Respironics announced a recall on June 14 of 2021, for certain Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machines, BiLevel Positive Airway Pressure (BiLevel PAP) machines, and mechanical ventilators over potential health risks.
