Listening to our body and attuning to its needs can help us better manage symptoms and decrease stress through mindfulness & compassion. What is your body asking for? 💜 A very large part of healing that I see is when someone learns how to truly listen and be with.

We can find wisdom everywhere including from folks in the later stages of life. In her book, Bronnie Ware, describes her personal experience with those about to cross over and the regrets she heard over & over from her patients. As it turns out, authenticity is a core human need.

The world is suffering and it can make us feel scared, hopeless, full of grief, anger - sometimes all at once. When we are listening & present (where & when we can), that matters. Healing begins when there is a compassionate witness. From there, we act.

Let it hurt. Let it heal.
Be gentle with yourself.
There is no “right way” there is only through.
We’re in this together.

Just Sayin’💁🏼‍♀️✨ When a plant gets wilted we check the soil. Supporting our environment on every level is the most sustainable and empowering way to support our capacity to heal & grow. If this is a different lens than you’ve heard before, you’re not alone.

This is a tool I come back to again and again in my own life. Gratitude for me looks like writing in my journal 3-5 things in my life that I am grateful for.
Or thinking of the people/friendships/clients/family that I am grateful for. As a relationships person - that is something that feeds me deeply. I find it very helpful if I’m in negative thought loop, like doubting myself. There is scientific research to back up how effective it is for improving mental health, sleep quality, immune system health, pain tolerance, lowering blood pressure among many other things.

How on earth do I self love??? There are many ways. But here are a few ways in: 1) Picture child version of you in front of you. How would you speak to them? What do they need to hear? 2) picture yourself in the middle of a circle and any one who has ever loved you (including pets) surrounding you, feel the love they have for you radiating towards you 3) Affirm when things feel hard and try offering kindness over judgement 4) place hand on heart and breathe while offering kindness “I love who I am. I see & hear you fully”
