Perimenopause doesn’t just affect your body.

It can shake your mental health, your confidence, your sleep, your relationships, and your sense of self.

Many women are improperly treated for anxiety or depression without anyone asking whether hormones or other factors may be contributing.

Therapy can provide stabilization, clarity, identity support, and informed guidance during this transition. Helping you cope and feel like yourself again.

If you haven’t been feeling like yourself, it may be perimenopause and you don’t have to navigate it alone. 💜

Using proven and effective methods like mindfulness-based therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), our team supports women navigating the emotional impact of perimenopause.

The way you speak to yourself matters.💜

Most of us don’t even notice the automatic thoughts running through our minds every day. They’re quick, familiar and often harsh.

“I’m failing.”
“I should be over this.”
“My body betrayed me.”
“I can’t handle this.”

In Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), we slow those thoughts down.
Not to force feelings of positivity or dismiss those thoughts.

But to ask yourself instead:

Is this thought helpful?
Is it the full truth?
Is there another way I can respond to this?

Commitment to this practice, over time, can actually change how you feel in your body, your relationships, and your daily life.

🌸 If this resonated, follow along for more therapy-informed insights.

Sometimes the hardest part of conflict isn’t what’s being said.
It’s what’s being heard.

💔“I need space” can sound like rejection.
💔“I’m tired” can sound like disconnection.
💔“You never listen” can feel like not being valued at all.

When couples argue it’s often not about the words being said. It often comes from underlying issues such as unmet needs, past experiences, and nervous system responses, not a lack of care or effort.

Therapy helps couples slow down, hear each other clearly, and build connection instead of staying stuck in ongoing confusion.

When those patterns are identified and slowed down, couples are better able to respond instead of react, and conversations become more productive and less emotionally charged.

If you and your partner keep having the same conversations without resolution, structured support can help.

Our therapist Ashley offers an inclusive, compassionate space where you’re invited to show up as you are and explore what you need to move forward.

Meet Adrienne MacDonald, Psychotherapist at Bloom Well Therapy 🤍

We’re deeply grateful for the trust of our community partners 💜

Supporting individuals and families through pregnancy and postpartum care is not something we take lightly. It’s work rooted in compassion, integrity, and deep respect for those going through a vulnerable life transition.

To hear that our colleagues trust us enough to refer their clients means more than we can put into words.

Bloom Well Therapy is built on collaboration, thoughtful care, and a shared commitment to women’s mental health. We’re proud to be part of a broader network of providers who prioritize women’s mental health and meaningful support.

None of us are meant to do this alone. We’re in it together. 🤍

When people say postpartum “gets easier,” they usually mean the baby will grow, the phases will pass, and you just have to get through it.

And while time does change things, that message can also keep women waiting.

Waiting for sleep to improve.
Waiting to ask for help.
Waiting to feel like themselves again.

Meanwhile, anxiety, guilt, emotional heaviness, or resentment quietly settles in and support starts to feel like something to consider later.

The truth is, reaching out for support doesn’t have to mean you’ve been struggling for months.

Therapy can help make coping through this transition feel more manageable.

It can help you:
✨ recognize when something feels off
✨ speak up about your needs
✨ build confidence asking for help
✨ understand your patterns before they deepen

So you’re not just getting through this phase, but you are supported and able to thrive while adjusting to it.

If you’ve ever been told to “just get through it,” you’re not alone. Comment 🤍 if this resonates.
