Happy Holidays from the team at Bloom Well Therapy đź’ś

As the year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to say thank you for the trust, support, and connection you’ve shared with our practice.

The holidays can look different for everyone, and we hope you’re able to move through them in ways that feel steady and supportive for you.

We’re grateful to be part of your journey and appreciate the community that’s grown here.

Wishing you peace, warmth, and ease over the holidays.

The holidays can bring love, connection… and a little (or a lot) of stress.

Between family dynamics, financial pressures, and packed schedules, it’s easy for tension to sneak into your relationship.

Here are a few gentle reminders this season:

💬 Communicate your needs early. Your partner can’t read your mind.
🕊️ Create space for downtime together, even if it’s just a quiet coffee before the day begins.
💜 Remember, you’re on the same team. Not each other’s to-do list.

This season doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.
Focus on presence over performance, and connection over control.

If the holidays tend to bring up stress, conflict, or disconnection, couples therapy can be a supportive space to reset and reconnect.

Ashley, our psychotherapist at Bloom Well Therapy, is skilled at helping couples navigate relationship issues and find common ground and support.

When I was 17, I said yes to becoming a volunteer peer counsellor at a health clinic.

I didn’t know then how much that experience would shape me. I only knew I was drawn to listening, supporting, and sitting with women in moments that felt heavy or uncertain.

That early yes eventually grew into something much bigger than me 🤍

Today, Bloom Well Therapy is built around a team of deeply caring, thoughtful, and skilled psychotherapists. Women who bring their own lived experience, training, and heart into this work. Women who show up every day to support clients with compassion, steadiness, and respect.

What I’m most proud of isn’t the title or the path.

✨ It’s the community we’ve built.
✨ The care that happens here.
✨ And the way this team holds space for clients, and for one another.

And I’m grateful to be doing it alongside such an incredible group of women. 💜

What’s one small yes that ended up meaning more than you expected? Feel free to share below!

Lately it feels like everything is hitting at once.

Kids getting sick back to back.
Work that still needs you.
Or a business that does not pause.
Holiday planning and school events piling up.
Trying to make things “special” when you barely have anything left to give.

This is the invisible mental load. The part no one sees. The part you carry quietly because you think you are supposed to be able to handle it.

And when you hold all of this on your own, it can start to look like burnout, irritability, numbness, shutdown, tears out of nowhere, or feeling like you are one small thing away from breaking.

Talking about it helps.
Naming what is draining you helps.
Getting support early matters more than people realize.

If this resonated with you and you want someone to talk to about how you are feeling, our team is here. We offer free 15 minute consultations where you can share what you have been carrying and explore what support might help. đź’ś

December 6 is Canada’s National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

Today we remember the 14 women who were murdered at Montréal’s École Polytechnique in 1989. For no reason other than being women pursuing engineering.

It’s a day to honour their lives.

And it’s a day to acknowledge the ongoing reality of gender-based violence in Canada.

Remembrance matters.
Action matters too.

Today is a reminder that creating safety is a collective responsibility. And that every act of awareness, advocacy, and compassion helps move us toward a safer future for women and girls. 💜✨

If you or someone you know is navigating the impacts of violence and needs support, our therapists are here. You’re not alone.

The therapists on our team support individuals through the real, everyday challenges of life. đź’ś

Each one of us is skilled in treating different aspects of mental health and brings a unique lens to the work we do. Which means there’s space here for whatever you’re carrying, even if you’re not sure where to start or how to name it yet.

And because therapy is human work, we wanted to share a little more of who we are outside the therapy room too. ✨

The things we love, and the small joys that help us reconnect with ourselves. That’s part of what makes this team so special.

At Bloom Well Therapy, you’re not just meeting a therapist. You’re meeting a real person who shows up with care, curiosity, and the kind of presence that helps you feel less alone.

If you’re wondering who might be the right fit for what you’re navigating, you can book a free 15-minute consult through the link in our bio. 💜

Over the past year, Monica, one of our Registered Psychotherapists, has been spending time at the Peel Region EarlyON Centre, hosting a workshop supporting moms and babies helping them to learn, connect, and strengthen the parent–child bond.

These monthly workshops have been a place for new parents to ask questions, and feel less alone in the postpartum transition. We’re so grateful to Monica for showing up for the community with her experience, warmth, and care.

We’ve already wrapped up our final workshop of the year. We’ll share updates in the new year about when this series may return. Stay tuned here for details!

đź’ś Thank you to every parent who joined us!

Falling back in love with yourself isn’t one big moment.

It’s the small, intentional ways you show for yourself the way you speak to yourself, the boundaries you honour, the care you let yourself receive.

Our team believes in that kind of healing.

We’re right there with you, doing the work, honouring the process, and falling back in love with who we are, one step at a time.

đź’ś Follow along for more support, reflections, and reminders from our team.
