Our approach to fitness is based in an anti-diet and Health at Every Size® perspective. We believe in joyful movement and creating inclusive spaces for all - especially anyone who hasn’t felt at home in mainstream fitness spaces. Body Positive Fitness training is inclusive of all bodies, levels & abilities, LGBTQ+ positive, and welcoming for anyone looking for a safe space to exercise in without judgement.

Just because you offered an option at the beginning of class doesn’t mean that option fits the same way 20 minutes later.

As bodies fatigue.
As effort increases.
As nervous systems get louder.

Needs change.

Maybe everyone felt fine coming to their knees in the warm up.
That does not mean those same bodies feel good about it in the third round.

And assuming that because someone did it once they can always do it, creates pressure.

As coaches, we need to keep giving options and permission.
Over and over again.

To change your mind.
To adjust.
To opt out.
To try something else.

Fitness isn’t about proving you can tolerate discomfort. It’s about learning how to listen to your body’s needs.

The most inclusive rooms are the ones where choice isn’t a one-time offer at the start of class, it’s a constant invitation throughout.

As PTs & fitness instructors we need to remember:

Personal training and group fitness is so much more than a workout.

It is:

• Time for themselves.
• Time to process life outside of “life.”
• Time to exist without performing.
• Time to breathe.
• Time with community.
• Time in solitude.

For some people, that hour is the only hour of the week that belongs entirely to them.

We are not just coaching squats and cueing core engagement.
We are holding space.
We are building safety.
We are facilitating nervous system regulation.
We are creating rooms where people can remember who they are.

The workout is the vehicle, but the impact
Is so much bigger than reps.

I started Body Positive Fitness because I couldn’t keep participating in an industry that taught people to distrust themselves.

This company represents:
– Unlearning.
– Repair.
– Grief.
– Growth.
– Motherhood.
– Marriage.
– IVF.
– Pandemic pivots.
– Studio closures.
– Studio openings.
– Risk.
– Leadership.
– And the decision, over and over again, to build something safer than what I was given.

It holds 20 years of experience.
It holds the younger version of me who thought a body size was the goal.
It holds the current version of me who knows peace is the goal.

This company changed as I changed.

It grew as I grew.

And the deeper I stepped into myself,
the deeper this work became.

This isn’t just my business.

It’s my life’s work.

Most of what we were taught about how bodies “should” look…. Is marketing.

Bodies are shaped by genetics.
Fat loss doesn’t happen in one specific spot because you did 100 crunches.
And trainers aren’t more qualified because they’re lean, small, or photogenic.

Two people can follow the exact same program and look completely different. That’s biology.

At Body Positive Fitness, we care way more about:

Sometimes people walk through our doors in tears and say they’ve been looking for a space like this for years… sometimes their whole lives.

And the first thing they say is:
“How did I not know you existed?”

In a world drowning in ads, and trends… it’s really hard to make sure the people who need you actually find you.

So I’m asking you to help us.

We are an inclusive fitness community for the people who feel left out of mainstream gyms.
Plus size folks.
Older adults.
Q***r community.
Disabled folks.
Neurodivergent humans.
People with social anxiety.
People who’ve never felt like they “fit” in fitness.

My Story

There's something to be said about feeling comfortable in your own skin. Let alone feeling comfortable in your own skin, in a gym. After working as a personal trainer for over a decade, I have realized the most important approach to health and fitness isn't taken nearly enough.. My passion is helping others FEEL good. I'm here to help you find confidence and strength; in and out of the gym. This is far more important than the numbers on clothing tags and scales.
