Aspect Imaging

Aspect Imaging Making MRI accessible. Aspect Imaging (www.aspectimaging.com) is the world leader in the design and development of complete compact MRI systems.

Our unique permanent magnet technology platform is the backbone for a wide range of products; spanning preclinical and medical markets. In the pre-clinical research market, the M-series compact high-performance MRI systems enable a wide variety of in vivo applications and research models. The M-series systems are also used to provide 3D MR-based histology, complementing and directing pathology and histology-based analysis. In the medical market, Aspect Imaging has multiple medical programs underway, including highly efficient just-in-place compact MRI systems, such as the Embrace Neonatal MRI system, designed specifically for critically-ill babies inside the NICU.

Hello Canada! We are excited to have the first Embrace Neonatal MRI System in Canada installed at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). For the first time, NICU patients at SickKids who need an MRI will not have to leave the NICU and the information only available through MRI will be more readily accessible to aid in clinical decisions.

Embrace Neonatal MR delivers clinically diagnostic images.

Clinical research continues to illustrate the diagnostic value of images obtained on the 1T Embrace Neonatal MR System. This study, published in Neuropediatrics, was designed to evaluate and compare scoring of images obtained on the Embrace, without leaving the NICU, and a conventional MR scanner. The results clearly illustrate substantial interrater agreement. Blank-Altman analysis showed excellent agreement between the two scanners, validating the clinical value of in-NICU scanning with the Embrace. The ability to accurately diagnose neurological pathologies in neonatal patients with the Embrace eliminates the traditional risks and complexity required to transport babies to the Radiology department.
