Today we remember Lieutenant Jason Menard of the Worcester Fire Department. Lt. Menard selflessly gave his life 6 years ago in the line of duty while searching for a mother and child believed to be lost/trapped in a burning building. In his last minutes, Lt. Menard did everything possible to make sure his crew made it out of that same building, ultimately sacrificing himself so that his crew may live. Our thoughts are with Lt. Menard’s family, friends, and our brothers and sisters of Local 1009 today. Lt. Menard, we will NEVER forget…

The members of Local 3070 would like to congratulate Lieutenant Dale Goodspeed on the completion of his 5th Marine Corps Marathon earlier this week in Washington, D.C. Great job Dale!

Westborough Professional Firefighters Local 3070 would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the Sterling MA Fire Department, our brothers and sisters of Sterling Professional Firefighters Local 5001, and the friends and family of Recruit Firefighter-EMT Jack Bonazzoli. Firefighter Bonazzoli’s life was cut tragically short Sunday night as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash while off-duty. Those who knew Jack state that “He always had everyone around him laughing. Jack had a passion for emergency service and for physical fitness, and pushed his fellow department members to better themselves each and every shift.” Jack was 23 years old. Rest in peace young brother… Godspeed. We’ve got it from here …
