Five years ago, Catherine was enjoying a relaxing houseboat getaway in Florida with her husband and friends, until one wrong step changed more than her vacation.

“I went to toss the trash and decided to swing back onto the boat through the sliding door I’d just used,” she says. “Only, someone had closed it. It was like a cartoon face plant.”

She saw stars but brushed it off. “I just pulled my nose back into place. It didn’t even bruise, so I went home and resumed life.”

Say hello to Rachel Hontz, PA-C — one of the newest additions to the Plastic + Hand team. 👋

Rachel brings nearly a decade of experience as a Physician Assistant, with a background in the ER, ICU, and CT & Vascular Surgery. Since joining the practice, she’s been involved in every stage of surgical care — from pre-op consults to assisting in the OR and helping patients recover.

She appreciates the variety her role offers and the high standard of care the team delivers every day.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys making pottery, gardening, and traveling to new places.

Dr. Connolly is certified by the American Board of Surgery. She is on the teaching faculty of the Lahey Clinic and serves as Clinical Assistant Professor at Maine Medical Center for Tufts University School of Medicine.⁠
